If the name Trina sounds familiar, that's because it's a major manufacturer of solar panels. And TrinaBESS represented the company's initial expansion into solar battery storage.

Company Information
Founded by Gao Jifan in 1997, Trina Solar is one of the heavy hitters in solar panel manufacturing globally. Back in 2010, the company began looking at energy storage for home, commercial and utility scale markets; and TrinaBESS was formed in 2015. This was later transformed into Trina Storage, and residential products disappeared from its lineup - the new focus was on industrial and utility-scale solutions.
TrinaBESS Home Batteries In Australia
In 2016, TrinaBESS launched its residential battery storage product for the Australian market - the PowerCube.
PowerCube Mini
This was a 4.8kWh battery that when paired with the AC battery inverter TrinaBESS PowerBox, had a 3kW power rating. The battery measured 600mm x 530mm x 210mm, weighed 65 kilograms and had a working temperature range of -10?~50?.
PowerCube 2.0
The PowerCube 2.0 was available in two capacities: 7.2kWh (3 battery packs) and 9.6kWh (4 battery packs). It too needed to be paired with a PowerBox and also offered a continuous output of 3kW. Its dimensions were 600mm x 1000mm x 210mm and it weighed approximately 95kg (3 battery packs) / 120kg (4 battery packs). Everything else related to PowerBox was the same.
PowerCube DC (S & T Series)
The PowerCube DC was unveiled in October 2017. Available in single- or three-phase, the single-phase had a power rating of 5kW and modular battery capacity expansion from 4.8kWh to 9.6kWh. The three-phase had power ratings of 5 kW or 10 kW, with modular battery capacity expansion from 6 kWh to 12 kWh, or 9 kWh to 18 kWh respectively. The PowerCube DC had a hybrid inverter and would automatically switch to Emergency Power Supply (EPS) mode during a mains power failure.
When PowerCube production was ceased isn't clear, but the TrinaBESS website went offline around September 2019.
Warranty Information
The PowerCube Mini and 2.0 had a 10 year battery performance and capacity warranty covering the lithium-ion cells. Battery capacity was warranted to be at least 60% of name-plate capacity at the 10-year mark, or after a total energy throughput of 2339kWh per kWh of nameplate capacity, whichever came first. All other system components carried a 5 year limited warranty.
The PowerCube DC also had a 10 year battery warranty, but we don't have further details.
While Trina has an Australian office, your first contact should you run into warranty issues is the party that installed it (assuming they are still around).
