Bluetti originally specialised in portable power stations and solar panels, but more recently it also moved into the grid-connect residential battery market.

Company Info
Founded in 2019 in Nevada, USA, Bluetti manufactures its gear in China. The company has certainly come a long way in a short time after attracting significant backing on a crowdfunding platform in 2020. But before it was known as Bluetti, the firm was known under another name: Poweroak (Shenzhen Poweroak Newener Co., Ltd.), which was established in 2009 in Shenzhen, China.
The Bluetti EP760 Home Battery
The EP760 is a AC or DC coupled single phase all- in- one residential energy storage system. It's comprised of the EP760 hybrid inverter capable of up to 7.6kW output, and stackable B500 battery packs based on LiFePO? chemistry that offer 4.96 kWh capacity each. However, that's nominal capacity. With a Depth of Discharge of 90%, that would mean each B500 battery pack has a useable capacity of around 4.5 kWh.
With only one B500 module, power output is 5kW without solar panels, while the off-grid power is 3.6kW. In an on-grid situation, it's 5kW without PV input and 7.6kW with it. If there's more than one battery module, output is up to 7.6kW on or off grid.
In a blackout situation, the EP760 can switch from mains grid to battery power in less than 10 milliseconds. The EP760 has 3 MPPT channels, each capable of supporting 3kW of solar panels. The working temperature range is noted as -20?~50?, which is better than when it was originally released (-20?~40?).
While on the topic of blackouts, Bluetti says it's compatible with a generator - but home batteries are notorious for not playing nice with generators.
Kilowatt-hour for kilowatt-hour, the EP760 was substantially more expensive than some other well-known home battery brands when it launched in 2024, but in 2025 we noticed a significant price drop. But it still costs more than some good quality systems from other brands in terms of hardware.
Another issue appears to be finding an installer to put it in. This is definitely not a DIY job; it requires a qualified professional. Bluetti says it will provide professional training to your electrician to ensure proper installation. But that might not be as reassuring as having someone install the battery that's familiar with the product. Furthermore, only "Bluetti approved" electricians can install one (it's a warranty requirement). While the company offers a certified installer service, if they are thin on the ground in your neck of the woods it could be an issue.

Bluetti Home Battery Warranty
Bluetti provides 10 years warranty on the EP760 system, with a guaranteed aggregate energy throughput of 18.25MWh. Throughout the aggregate energy throughput life or 10 year limit (whichever comes first), Bluetti says the B500 shall maintain a minimum usable energy capacity of 70% of the nameplate rating.
Among the warranty exclusions and aside from it requiring installation by a Bluetti approved electrician, it must not be installed indoors within 1km of the coastline or outdoors within 2km of the coastline - and it must be not be exposed to direct sunlight or rain.
