Company History
BAE traces its history back to 1899, but it wasn't until 1958 “Berliner Akkumulatoren- und Elementefabrik” (BAE) was founded through the merger of two other organisation, AFO and the “Berliner Elementefabrik”.
While producing producing a broad range of batteries for various scenarios, BAE's early focus was on the supply of energy storage for railway applications. After privatisation in 1993, BAE began producing new product lines for motive power and stationary applications.
In more recent years, BAE accelerated its research and development, and expanded its product range to include products such as maintenance-free block batteries and renewable energy storage.
BAE Secura Solar Batteries
BAE's Secura product family offers low maintenance VLA batteries with liquid electrolyte (PVS range) and maintenance free VRLA-GEL batteries with fixed electrolyte (PVV range); the latter not needing water top-ups. Incorporating a fully insulated . design to ensure touch protection, BAE says its Secura range offers very good recharge behaviour and excellent deep discharge capability.
BAE states its tubular grid casting uses antimony free, lead-calcium-tin alloy that has very low corrosion characteristics.
Warranty Details
For the PVV and PVS range, BAE offers a 36 months full replacement then 24 months pro rata warranty (so, five years all up).
