Powerwave is a part of Australia's Kingston Group of companies and based in Queensland.
Australian Contact Info
As at the beginning of 2025, the Powerwave web site was showing an "under maintenance" message, with the only contact point given being an email address: [email protected].
On some other documentation, these contact details were noted for Powerwave:
Address: 58 Kingston Drive Helensvale QLD 4212
Post: 3138 Helensvale Town Centre QLD4 212
Telephone: 07 3062 8660
Company Info
The Kingston Group of companies are a private, family owned Australian firm that's been around for decades. It's also the company behind solar and electrical wholesaler TradeZone, which backed Powerwave.
But as at early 2025, only one panel is listed as available by TradeZone (noted as being a clearance item), and none are listed on the Clean Energy Council's approved modules list. This means even that model is no longer eligible to Australia's solar rebate. What happened to Powerwave in terms of their PV modules is a bit of a mystery. But the ABN and ACN for the firm are still active, and some other solar related products are still available
Powerwave Solar Panels
While a privately-owned Australian company, Powerwave solar panels were produced in China. They were rebadged Seraphim modules - and while Seraphim is a pretty good brand in terms of performance vs. cost; it's not so much when it comes to warranty claims in recent years it seems.
When we last checked prior to updating this page in 2025, Powerwave was offering two different solar panel product lines in Australia. One was Twin Power featuring mono PERC split cells and available in up to 400 watts capacity. The other was Obsidian, which were monocrystalline modules in wattages up to 365W.
Warranty Info
The product warranty for both panel families above is 15 years. But there was also a requirement that system performance check and panel clean must be carried out by a CEC accredited company every two years, a record of which must be retained by the customer and provided to Powerwave Energy in order to make a warranty claim.
Given the situation with the firm, if you're having problems with your Powerwave panels, first try contacting the company that installed them as that is the party primarily responsible for warranty claims. Failing that, try contacting TradeZone on the email address above for assistance.
