Nexpower is a Taiwanese solar panels manufacturer that was established in 2005 as a subsidiary of United Microelectronics Corporation, one of the biggest companies producing semiconductors. However, today Nexpower has become an independent player in the PV industry.
The company specializes in the production of solar panels with a power ranging from 150 to 160 Wp. All their PV products are manufactured in Japan at ULVAC inc’s assembly lines which have been producing photovoltaic systems since the early ‘80s. As a result, Nexpower is now able to market around 100MW per year selling a wide range of solar cell related products including laser scribing systems, sputtering systems and plasma CVD systems.
Nexpower photovoltaic systems are UL 1703, IEC 61730 and IEC 61646 certified and, although they are marketed all over the world, the company does not have any commercial office outside Taiwan (at least not yet).
