1.1 This Modern Slavery Policy (Policy) affirms the commitment of Peacock Media Group Pty Ltd (ACN 140 645 932) trading as SolarQuotes (SolarQuotes, we, us and/or our) to the broader global movement seeking to eradicate all forms of modern slavery.
1.2. SolarQuotes assists Australians to obtain high-quality, solar, battery or EV charger installations from installers who care. Our website contains over 70,000 genuine reviews of solar installers, solar panels, inverters, batteries and EV chargers.
1.3 Modern slavery is a term that encapsulates slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. It includes situations where an individual cannot refuse or leave due to threats, violence, coercion, deception, or abuse of power.
2. Application
2.1 SolarQuotes’ reputation depends on recommending great brands that align with our values. SolarQuotes will not recommend a brand that has not established and implemented an appropriate modern slavery policy.
2.2 To ensure this is clear to our customers, SolarQuotes will dedicate and maintain a row in our comparison tables demonstrating which brands have a modern slavery policy.
3. Our position
SolarQuotes is fully committed to understanding, respecting, and supporting human rights in all our operations and activities. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach towards modern slavery and human trafficking in any form. Acting ethically, with integrity in all our business interactions, and endorsing the same standards for the brands we recommend, is fundamental to us.
4. Scope of this Policy
4.1 This Policy must be complied with by our employees, contractors, subcontractors and representatives (including all individuals, corporations, and other legal entities) (Personnel).
4.2 We expect our Personnel to abide by this Policy and, where applicable, adopt appropriate measures to align with SolarQuotes’ commitment to mitigate, detect and respond to modern slavery risks.
5. Commitment to Due Diligence
SolarQuotes acknowledges the reliance and trust our customers place on our recommendations. SolarQuotes is devoted to implementing and maintaining comprehensive diligence processes when assessing brands we recommend to our customers.
6. Reporting
6.1 We actively encourage all Personnel, customers, brands we recommend and any other companies we interact with to report any concerns or suspicions related to the direct activities of our organisation, or those of the other brands we recommend.
6.2 This includes any circumstances that may potentially be associated with an increased risk of slavery or human trafficking.
6.3 Individuals who report an incident or risk of modern slavery under this Policy will not be subject to victimisation or reprisal. We encourage our Personnel, customers and business partners to transparently disclose any concerns they may have.

7. Enforcement
7.1 SolarQuotes’ management is responsible for ensuring this Policy aligns with our ethical objectives and that our Personnel comply.
7.2 A breach of this Policy by any Personnel or business partner will be taken seriously and may result in disciplinary action (which may include, termination of employment or ceasing any further recommendations to our customers of that particular brand).
8. Reviewing the Policy
8.1 We are committed to continuously improving our approach towards partnering with ethical organisations and enhancing our actions to mitigate any modern slavery risk within our operations.
8.2 This Policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and revised as needed to reflect any changes in our operations or external environment.
