Finn's Zeversolar Inverters Review & Verdict
Finn Peacock has been a Chartered Electrical Engineer since 1998, and is ex-CSIRO
Zeversolar was one of many solar manufacturers that had a presence in Australia to fall by the wayside over the years. But unlike some that simply vanished, at least the company committed to continue honouring warranties after it shut up shop.
Zeversolar Inverters: Pros & Cons
- Company ceased business activities in late 2019
About Zeversolar
Zeversolar was a Chinese solar inverter manufacturer that once operated as a subsidiary of Germany's SMA.
Company History
Zeversolar (Jiangsu Zeversolar New Energy Co., Ltd) was established in China in 2007. In March 2013, Germany's SMA Solar Technology AG completed acquisition of a majority stake in the company, and from that point Zeversolar operated as a subsidiary of SMA.
But in December 2018, SMA announced a restructuring of its operations involving exiting China and selling its companies there. Then in December 2019, Zeversolar said it would cease business activities as of December 18, 2019.
We had a report that by late 2021, Zeversolar Cloud, the company's cloud based monitoring system, was no longer functioning.
Zeversolar Inverters In Australia
Zeversolar specialised in the production of single and three-phase solar inverters equipped with single or multiple MPPT inputs and with diverse power ranges.
For example, the Eversol TL series was designed for small residential applications, whereas the Evershine TLC and TL series were built for any kind of residential use.
Zeversolar’s Evershine TLC and Eversol TLC three-phase inverters were geared towards commercial users. For industrial applications, the company developed inverters from 500KW to 1MW in size (NSG series).
Warranty Info
Zeversolar offered a 5-year product warranty as standard that could be extended by another 5 years for an added fee.
When announcing the cease of business activities, Zeversolar said handling of service and warranty cases would continue. As the standard warranty was 5 years, that means at the time of updating this page (December 2024), just about all those warranties would have expired.
But if you have an extended warranty and are experiencing issues with your Zeversolar inverter, a claim can be submitted here. But first talk to your installer (if they are still around) as they are likely still the primary party responsible for warranty. The installer *may* be able to make a claim via SMA; as might you if your installer has disappeared too and the online claim process doesn't work out.
If you have a Zeversolar inverter out of warranty that's causing you problems, probably the best course of action is to not bother trying to get it repaired - just buy a new inverter. Prices of inverters have dropped in recent years and you can pick up a brand-spanking new good budget inverter relatively cheaply these days.

Inverter is installed in the garage adjacent to the power board so it's ideal for also keeping an eye on it as you can clearly see the panel when getting in the car, and its out of the weather.
Inverter sends a monthly report showing daily output along with error reports, if any exist, to your email address . Only ones I've had have been loss of AC when the distributor has gone off (twice).

The graphs, data and emails from being connected via wifi to the Zevercloud are useful.

The inverter has been down since the 20th of Jan 2021 without any warning to us.
This wasn’t detected until I saw the panel not lit up on the 18th of Feb 2021.
After a few phone calls to Bradfords and CSR support still no confirmation on when it will be repaired or replaced.
Had we of known they we closing there business in December 19 we would have gone with another supplier.
