Schneider Electric is a France-headquartered solar manufacturer established in 1836. Originally the company was operating in the shipping and heavy machinery market, steel and iron industry; then moved into weaponry, and then after the war into servicing the construction and electricity sectors.
Today, Schneider operates in a number of areas, including building and home automation, smart electrical networks supervision, energy control and monitoring, and power production and distribution.
In the photovoltaic sector, these days Schneider’s manufacturing lines specialize in the production of solar inverters for commercial and industrial applications, but it also manufactures hybrid inverters/inverter chargers for residential use (previously it also manufactured standard string inverters).
Schneider Electric have an Australian office to manage warranty claims, offer technical assistance and provide customer care.
