Powerbox Geoprotek Solar Inverters

While the current Powerbox range of inverters are for industrial and off-grid applications, the company once manufactured solar inverters approved for use in Australia by the Clean Energy Council for home installations. These devices were from the Geoprotek series and  included:

  • GS-1500 (1.5 kW)
  • GS-2000 (2 kW)
  • GS-3000 (3 KW)
  • GS-4000 (4 kW)

These were single-phase devices offering 95% maximum efficiency. The three smaller models measured 380 x 300 x 133 mm and weighed 14 kilograms, while the 5 kW unit measured 550 x 300 x 133 mm and weighed 21 kg.

The operating temperature range of these convection cooled inverters was -25 to 55 ºC

Warranty Details

The CEC listings for these Geoprotek models expired in 2015, and as far as we know were never renewed. As Geoprotek solar inverters were covered by a 5-year warranty, none would be under warranty nowadays.
