Anker Solix X1 Hybrid Inverters
In single phase, Anker Solix hybrid inverters (power modules) CEC-approved for use in Australia are the:
- X1-H3.68K-S (3.68 kW)
- X1-H4.6K-S (4.68 kW)
- X1-H5K-S (5 kW)
- X1-H6K-S (6kW)
The capacities apply to off-grid as well as grid connect operation. Measuring 670 x 335 x 150 mm, these inverters weigh 19 kg and have an operating temperature range of -25°C to 60°C.
In three-phase, CEC listed models are the:
- X1-H5K-T (5 kW)
- X1-H8K-T (8 kW)
- X1-H10K-T (10 kW)
- X1-H12K-T (12 kW)
In off-grid mode, peak output power (10s) is 7.2 kVA - 10 kVA for the single phase units and 10 kVA - 20 kVA for three-phase, depending on the model The three-phase models are 670mm x 450mm x 150mm and weigh 30 kg; with the same operating temperature range as the single phase.
Both the single- and three-phase X1 hybrid inverter models have two MPP trackers and are IP66 rated, giving a high degree of protection from the elements. The inverters have a corrosion class of C5-M, making them suitable for coastal areas. The units can be wall and floor mounted.
AC-Coupled Solution
Anker Solix also offers an inverter (power module) as part of its AC-coupled energy storage solution for use with an existing solar system. These have a model number format of X1-P6K-BXX-S; where XX is the battery capacity. This offers 3kW, 6kW and 6.6kW outputs depending on the number of Anker battery modules available. In backup mode, it has a surge rating (10 seconds) of 4.5 kVA with one battery module, 9 kVa with two modules and 12 kVa with three or more modules.
From what we've seen so far, Anker inverters look pretty straightforward to install and are accompanied by a full-feature app.
Warranty Details
The warranty period for Anker Solix inverters is 10 years. Note that warranties for the battery packs and power modules are provided separately and are not interconnected. Also, even though the the Anker Solix X1 has a C5-M corrosion class rating, the written warranty does not cover defects or parts needing replacement due to corrosion or rust.
