Refreshing Honesty
We were recommended to the company by my Daughter and Son in Law. From the outset set, all of our questions and concerns were answered straight away and we had the impression that we were dealing with the right people.Installation was prompt, the installer very respectful and efficient. NO FUSS NO MESS

Fantastic Installer, Great System
Hi, we found Watts Up Solar and Electrical to be very knowledgeable when it came to advising us on our system requirements. As we live on an island they explained to us why we needed a specific panel type.Installation was arranged quickly once we decided to proceed and our system was installed within 3 days.
Staff were polite and responded to any of our questions promptly and efficiently. Would have no problem recommending their services to others

Great experience

Watts Up were recommended - and I can see why!
They delivered the day before, then turned up and installed pretty much without stopping. Started 9am and all done by 3pm! Very efficient and I have recommended them already. Smiley was the easiest person to deal with and he and his office were all over our queries, promptly and patiently. They did everything, including working with Energex to arrange the grid connection.We discussed what our needs were, location, we had good input and Smiley worked with us to achieve best possible outcomes. Price was good!

Disappointing in both Company & Installer
The initial sales process was thorough and although they were very knowledgeable, I felt they over sold the potential results. The install date was changed twice and then a third was set when the installers came and delivered the equipment, they informed me the install date was going to be changed again. At this point the installer had only sent 2 of his junior guys as he was still on the mainland taking his kids to school, so he wasn't due till later in the morning. I'd had enough by this stage and told them to cancel the order and take the equipment back. They got on the phone and begged me to have some "humanity". I should have stuck to my guns but relented and allowed them to get the job done. On the 2nd day one of the young guys fell whilst on the roof, so he left the job and didn't return. The other young guy on the job also left as he had a pre-existing leg injury and didn't return as well, which left the sparky on his own for the rest of the week. To his credit he worked till dark each night, my wife and I fed him and even lent him our mainland car so he didn't have to take his truck on the barge. The job was finished after about 5 days and all was good...for now. Since then, I have rang the sparky and left messages several times but not once has he returned a call. I have had a number of teething issues which need sorting including CT clamps that need to be changed, so I managed to get one of the other sparkies on site to rectify. I have been getting about 25-30kw per day solar production, which is about half what I was told I should get. I have made a number of emails, calls and texts to Smiley, but his communication is non-existent and when you do get him on the phone, he fobs you off and cant get off the phone quick enough. Bottom line- I spent $28000 on a 13kw solar and 13kw battery system and the one thing I would not do is recommend either Wattup Solar and Ultimate Electrical.21 April 2023

Timely and professional
A professional service from the initial meeting/quotation from Radnor ‘Smiley’ on Macleay Island. Keep us informed of progress at all stages of the process and installation was completed in under 2 weeks. Organized our hookup to the power company and did a thoroughly professional install. Very happy to recommend these guys.10 months later we asked Judie: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
We've now had our system installed for a year and are very happy with its performance. Since installation we have not had another electricity bill and stay consistently in credit. Cant ask for better than that.
