Outstanding installation!
The 3 quotes were very similar, even in price although Vortex ended up being the best price by far. (They received the panels at a lower price than they'd quoted and actually passed that saving on to me!) Also the fact it was a Geelong company held a lot of sway with me. I like to shop local.All 3 salesmen were excellent at their job although admittedly one of them did maybe over-sell it a bit. (That salesperson had been suggesting my TV aerial would need to be moved and the inverter would need to go out by the switchboard (out in the weather) and they were two things Vortex and the 2nd salesman hadn't suggested. Plus someone from that company rang me later to match the offer that I was taking up, I'd already signed the contract. So they were very keen.
The installation went without a hitch, the guys were great. All in all I was very impressed with Vortex and I now just wait to see my next power bill!

Quality Installation, Satisfied Customer!
Representatives from the three installation companies recommended by Solar Quotes contacted us promptly. Their salespersons were polite, friendly and most importantly, knowledgeable!We ended up with three detailed quotes, two of which were for an identical system. One was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper.
The VORTEX installation team were punctual, friendly, considerate and efficient. We were impressed with their workmanship. Our old system was removed and the new panels, inverter and battery installed over three days (progress was slowed by particularly windy weather).
The inspector who turned on our new system reassured us that Vortex Electrical’s installations are always “first rate”.
Since installation, we’ve had another site visit where our questions about the battery’s operation have been answered and we’ve gained more information regarding maximising our “energy savings”.
We are VERY pleased with our new solar system!
Since it was turned on nine days ago, 100% of the energy we have used in our home has been generated by the system

Excellent service, quality product and a great install.
We obtained four quotes - three from Solar Quotes and one independent. All but one quoted on recommended, proven hardware. Simon from Vortex did what he said he would do, when he said he would. He was considerate in his design/placement for the battery and other components and his team was neat and professional when doing the work. I was impressed with the extra effort he took in working out where things could go before he got the job.07 March 2023

Sophie and her team of workers were great in the quoting process: reliable, informative and helpful.The installation was excellent: they were punctual, efficient and cleaned up after themselves.
We have just had the system installed so it will late a few weeks to get is all signed off and working.
They were the only company who understood our overall aim of electrification and provided a one stop shop for a big solar system, inverter, installation of new induction cooktop, supply and install of new hot water system and heat pump and a complex job of retrofitting our heating and cooling system, as well as some other minor electrical works. They organised all the trades and extra works (plasterer, painter, carpenter). This made the whole process and project, although expensive, worth the price, because it was a one stop shop, and so efficient. We are now gas free, have electrified everything and will be providing almost all of our energy needs self sufficiently, with the possibility of installing a battery later.

Wonderful company to deal with
The only sales person that came to see us in person before quoting, thus ensuring there would be no surprise additions on installation day or post quote. The salesperson Sophie responded to my initial request for quotes through solar quotes very quickly, even though it was the start of the year and everyone was still gradually returning back to work. She also responded to many questions we had post quote as we wanted to ensure we were future proofing for EVs.Installation day was a breeze. The crew arrived a bit later than communicated which caused a little bit of stress, but they arrived just before school drop off so I was still home.
The crew was very considerate. They played a bit of fetch with our dog in the backyard and gave me plenty of notice regarding power outages as I was working from home.
Highly recommend. They didn't try to sell us something we didn't need and responded very quickly.

Great experience
I had a great experience with Vortex Electrical. Quoting process was quick and easy with Sophie. Simon and the guys were great to deal with for the installation. The time from quote approval to install was reasonable. Maddie was always quick to respond to all of my questions via email. It's still early days but our power bill has at least halved since having solar installed.Panel rating: 5/5

Couldn't have asked for better service
Sophie's customer service was outstanding - she made sure she visited and analysed the property (the only company who did), asked me plenty of questions to make sure she understood our needs and aims for the system, and had it all installed within a month of signing the contract.Still awaiting the inspector so we can use the system, but Sophie has already been in contact to organise to come and talk us through the monitoring app. Brilliant.
First class service at a good price.
Simon from Vortex phoned to discuss my requirements, but then arranged to visit the property the next day to take a look at the roof, electrics etc and discuss where the inverter would be placed. His was the only company to do a site visit before quoting.Installation was quick, smooth, fuss-free. The team were polite and friendly. They showed me how to set up my iPad with the inverter app, which was really helpful.
The quote came in at well below the other two installers; one was double the Vortex quote.
Simon was communicative throughout the process.
I am extremely happy with Vortex and wont hesitate to use them again for future projects.
