From Sales to Installation and After Service - Excellent

We bought 14 panels and an inverter end of 2012 and we had a very good experience from From Sales to Installation and After Service. I obtained several quotes and everyone I was dealing with was professional and honest. We have good products (Schott Panels and Delta Inverter). Afterwards I asked Ian Gittus a few times for advice and he always answered and provided for advice.

Solaris were great but the inverter was crap. Maybe I could accept 1 dud product, but not 3.

The warranty appears particularly useless. IT is unacceptable for me. It took 6months to get a technician out and despite obvious damage my claim was dismissed out of hand. Opinion would be NEVER to purchase any items from this company.

The owner of Solaris was great to deal with, answered all of my questions honestly and the installation was organised to occur quickly. The installation contractors were very knowledgeable, left the work site in a very clean state and walked through the system operation, showed and explained the shutdown and start procedures for the PV system and even made suggestions on how to improve the out put by removing trees that would cast shadows. The experience was extremely positive

We are very pleased with our choice of Solaris Technology as the installer for our solar system. Their service is excellent. All our after-sales post-installation problems are resolved to our satisfaction. I would recommend Solaris to any new customers looking for a solar vendor they can trust.

I was recommended this company by a friend.

There is no choice in your selection but we choose a 3.5 kW system. Solaris from Riverhills Qld have been fantastic from beginning (sales person Aaron) to end (especially electrical installer Peter Jensen). We would recommend this company to anyone. We are very happy.

I researched before choosing this company. This website really helped and also Whirlpool feedback. My system is not up and running yet as I am waiting for Energex. But the experience with this company was great from beginning to end. Sales person Aaron was impressive and re-assuring. He was willing to answer questions even after I had signed the paper work. Installation was done by a great team Peter Jensen for electrical (0439 633137) and his mate Doug for panel installing. Peter especially went out of his way in regards to meter box changes and owner Ian supported him in this. This was during an extremely busy time (Dec. 12) but these guys were doing things right. There was a small paperwork mishap and we received only 12 instead of 14 panels. Again, Aaron and owner Ian took care of this issue and it was quickly resolved. I would really recommend this company and the installers. I will certainly call Peter if I need any maintenance or other electrical work done. Thank you Solaris!

Between Solaris and Energex we are still not connected to the grid 5 months after installation and even though we were in plenty time to claim the 44c feed in tariff, we apparently aren't going to receive it because Energex claims Solaris never sent through the paperwork. Communication with all parties has been frustrating and at times non existent. We are 5 months through our ten year warranty without having received a single kilowatt from our investment.

Very likable and friendly sales person. Extremely poor service after they get your money. After ringing them for 3 months and numerous emails, they never got back to me regarding the unsatisfactory installation. I had to organise the repair myself for the unit. Finally gave up on them, however have lodged a complaint with the consumer affairs.

Very easy and enjoyable service, carried out very professionally, the installers were quick and efficient and tidied up after themselves. Original ratings

16 months later we asked Roy: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Yes, better than expected, especially with the increase in electricity bills. Our bills, have been reduced by two thirds. We did get the 40cents per unit scheme plus the 7 cents. Regardless though, even without the repayments, we would be still ahead, because electricity prices keep going up and the additional value, added to our property... if all else fails we get a large bank of batteries, change the inverter, and go completely "self sufficient".. We recommend people to convert, but one very important point is, try not to use your "valuable electricity" between 10 am and 3 pm this is the peak time of production from your solar system setup.
The equipment has not needed any attention at all. We haven't even cleaned the Solar panels, the rain has kept them clean for us. The bottom line is really to get a reputable company for the installation and you get what you pay for.... a little more paid now, will be a good investment for the future.

Original Review on 29-11-2010:

The installers left a mess around the yard eg glue on driveway and paving, drilled brick debris through the garage area, rubbish in the front yard. We are not entirely happy with the system, as we purchased a 2.1K unit and a 4.6 inverter, for further additional panels. So far, on the hotest sunniest days, we are still only generating around the 1.4K power. Original ratings

They upgraded my inverter from a Delta to an Aurora for free. The job required splitting the panels on different parts of the roof and the Delta wouldn't suffice.

Their Sales Representative, Kevin was patient, knew his stuff, didn't try to push any particular system but sought to get us the sytem we needed.

I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

I've rated all the above as "good" although it's early days as the installation has only taken place quite recently. The price was better than any other quotes received, and the salesman answered my quesions patiently. By the time I agreed to the purchase, I was quite satisfied that I'd made a good decision.

As booking installation dates get tight in the face of co-pay increases, installers may show up with different gear than planned or contracted to install. They may truely or not, claim there are none of the planned (inverter in my case) components available so they brought a different one (which is less expensive yet the price doesn't change) to install. You are suddenly faced with - sending the installers away and being moved to the bottom of the wait list. I tolerated this because the substitute inverter has a longer warranty - though I don't know if it will stand the test of time and the price I was paying overall was VERY good.

I have only had the system installed for a fortnight and it appears to be working efficiently. The installation was prompt and neat.

My only concern is that the sales people never explained the buy-back policies of the electricity retailers.

Best to wait until I have the system installed and then I can prepare a bettere review.

The system supplied was of highest quality, best price and was quickly and efficiently installed. I was impressed by the ease of installing solar, after receiving the run around from a few other companies.
