Based in our showroom warehouse at 20 Marshall street Dapto, SolarBlu services the South Coast from Wollongong to Ulladulla and the Southern Highlands. At Solarblu, we are passionate about solar and our mission is to provide the best solar panels available at competitive prices.
Since we are also local electricians we take care of every part of the installation from connection paperwork to installation of your panels and final commissioning of your system.
Having been in the solar industry for a long time we have seen the problems associated with inferior quality panels and inverters. We have been very particular about the panels and inverters we install and only install quality components with full Australian warranty. SolarBlu are true solar power specialists. Supplying grid connected solar, Grid Battery Systems and remote off grid systems.

Highly recommend Solarblu
Rob was punctual, well informed and extremely pleasant to deal with. Unlike other quotes, he provided relevant detail that showed how the new panel system would add to what we had installed 7 years ago. We took his advice to wait for a battery until the rebates occur which he believed would be from November. We were impressed by Rob and subsequently the office staff and installers.Panel rating: 5/5

Professional & Seamless from Go to Whoa
Tim obviously loves his job. He enthusiastically answered all my questions in meticulous detail. Between him and Phil (the boss) I got a good system at a great price.The installation crew was on-time, quick and efficient. They were all done just after lunch and didn't break any tiles! They left the site neat & tidy.
I thoroughly recommend SolarBlu.

Good quality system, easy company to work with, job done on time.
sales/quoting as expected, got 3 quotes, compare system and negotiate a price with the installer of the system I decided to go with.Install - went very well, good tradesman who were on site when they said they would be.

Friendly installers. Helpful and answered questions
Solarblu came to the party on price, coming close to matching an online bulk seller quote. I went with these guys as they are local to me and the Solar Quotes recommendation. Went with their recommended Redback 10kw inverter and 13.2kw of panels. Included removal of old system. They couldn't make first booking due to weather affecting other jobs. Rebooked for about 1 week later and confirmed booking the day before. Showed up on time and got the entire removal and reinstall done inside a day. Helpful and friendly installer and sparky. Accomodated my request/question regarding panel brackets and grinding the tiles. So no issues with Solarblu. Had an issue with the inverter going into blackout and as the install was completed on the 19th December I couldnt get the issue resolved until the new year. Just required some remote tweeks by Redback and has been perfect since. Solarblu did everything they could at their end to fix issue but it was just bad timing. It has been cloudy most days since install but when the sun has popped through in the middle of the day I have been generating the max 10kw on inverter as I have an EV car pulling 7kw plus regular house usage.Panel rating: 5/5

Great Solar Install
Sales was a bit of a circus with some companies really trying to upsell larger systems.Solarblu were pretty good to deal with, especially when it came to the install side of things. Paperwork and connection went smoothly, but it did take a few goes to get the smartmeter installed ( nothing to do with Solarblu).
System now up and running well, on good sunny days.

Solarblu Dapto efficient workmanship
Friendly, honest and helpful customer service representative to answer all our many questions before we gave the go ahead.Installers were friendly, polite and efficient installing our 13.2 kW system in one day starting just after 7am on a sunny and warm day in early August, using a cherry picker to access the roof, dismantling the old 3Kw system first.
The system and Inverter was explained to us and hooked up to the app so we are able to monitor it's performance live at any time of day which is very helpful.
They organised the grid connect for us.
Clean and tidy workmanship.
Overall a very positive experience for us.
Thank you again to Finn for his expertise and recommending good reliable fully certified and professional Companies and installers we can trust.

A tough install
Salesman was attentive to my needs and gave me lots of great info and sharp pricing. It was a tough install for the installers unfortunately due to the layout of my roof. They weren't able to install the originally quoted amount of panels. 13 instead of 16. They did give me some reduction to the price to compensate. And the installers of the panels did a great job. One issue was that there was an agreement we would install an additional data logger so I could see further metrics about solar export and grid usage etc but was forgotten on the install sheet. By the time it was realised the installer said it was too late and was missed. This was a feature I was really looking forward to so I could fully understand the benefit I was getting from Solar.05 May 2023
Faultless
I only received 2 of my 3 quotes, and the installation is not yet complete as the site is not yet able to get the inverter installed. Solarblu have been brilliant to date and I don't see anything changing there.Contact was immediate following my Solar Quotes enquiry and Phil arranged to visit site with me. His quote arrived quickly, but he advised me of Electrical Regulations which would limit the number of Trina panels allowable to 12.4kW due to the high voltage output from the panels. This fact was disputed by the other company that was quoting, but they graciously conceded after doing some research.
Solarblu provided a quote using alternative panels providing the full 13.3kW at the same price - which I accepted.
Installation followed 2 days later!!! The guys were fantastic and worked with me to avoid roof obstacles that would be installed later. All team members were courteous, helpful, friendly and hard working with a can do attitude.
I am looking forward to getting my inverter and reaping the benefits of the system.

Good Service
I had decided to upgrade my solar panels. While being in the area I decided to just drop into SolarBlu office and discuss the panel upgrade. I was then directed to Tim Banfield who was able to confidently talk me through whole process and demonstrate the panel's operation in shop. A couple of weeks later the panels were on the roof and the installers were very competent. Later I had a problem with the installation of the Smart meter so I went back to see Tim who very helpful and spent quite some time on the phone making calls. He got the problem sorted and the meter was installed that week ahead of time. Thanks for the prompt service and help.Panel rating: 4/5

Have Local Office
Quote was finalized face-to-face. Dave and I have similar comical approach.The Installers listened to my requests and managed to do as requested.
They did all of the arrangements.
8 months later we asked Alwyn: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Yes is the short answer.When the solar was first connected, Origin only gave us $0.05 per KWhr and then decreased it after a few weeks; so I switched to AGL. They are giving us $0.17 feed-in tariff. In the first 3 months with them they owed us $120 and after a further 3 months they owed us $270 (I should point out that we have a solar hot water system as well as the solar voltaic system).

Very good service so far.
The sales and quoting process was quick and straight forward. I talked to the owner of the business at his office before signing. The installation was completed within 2 weeks and the installers were polite and informative. All paper work was submitted.8 months later we asked Philip: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The system has performed to our expectations. We financed the installation with a loan over 5 years at $88.00 per month. Our usage previously ( on the grid ) averaged $100.00/month. We now average a credit of $25.00/month and that was largely over winter. So far so good!Our systrm has worked without fault and we ended up going through a local installer.

Great local firm
We met Phil at his office without an appointment and we’re warmly received. We were given a quote to remove our old system and replace it with a new so power system which we received on the spot and accepted. Installation was prompt and well done with the old panels removed and the area left neat and tidy. Since the installation we have received a payment for our electricity and when we had a problem the service we received was excellent.Panel rating: 5/5

Local and thorough
Solarblu were our preferred installer, they are a local company with their own installers. They came in the cheapest of the 4 quotes we obtained. They explained the process thoroughly, the installers were very pleasant, on time, quick and tidy. The follow up information led us to change providers for a better electricity deal. Impressive Installer with friendly and competent staff
I received details of three installers from Solar Quotes and I had kept details of another, SolarBlu and another from a local business publication which circulates locally. I rang SolarBlu and a face to face meeting at my home was organised three days later, this during the Covid 19 crisis, my quote, received two days later, was for a 6.6kw/hr system. My installation was done only about ten days after I received my quote and the install team arrived on time, were friendly and helpful and had the job done by mid afternoon. My new system replaced an older 3kw/hr system where the original panels were mounted in a somewhat untidy patchwork appearance. Andrew, the installer, managed to position the new panels in a much improved eye pleasing pattern. Good on you Andrew for the neat job. Customer service was great, SolarBlu looked after all the paperwork with AGL leaving me with nothing to do. They also removed and disposed of all my old panels and Inverter at no charge to me. I know not all are prepared to do this without charge. SolarBlu install Growatt Inverters, an entry level Inverter. My issue with Growatt is the difficulty in reading it when in direct sunlight, you have to wait until shaded or use the App provided by Growatt. The App is not an easy install for everyone. SolarBlu were very helpful to me assisting with getting the App up and running.8 months later we asked William: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
About eight months since install I have to say I am happy with my system and I have not experienced any problems. When we are fortunate enough to get some long sunny days, which is not always the case when living on the Illawarra coast, my best output has been 44kw/hr in a day, and except for last winter when I ran my airconditioning system on the heating cycle for lengthy periods, my last two electricity accounts have put me in credit, exactly where I sought to be.13 November 2020

Great installer. Easy process.
Very pleased with the overall experience. They listened to what I needed and quoted on a system suitable for my needs. Once I was happy with the quote and decided to proceed the installation was arranged in a few days and completed very smoothly. All of the necessary grid connections were arranged and all I had to do was let my energy provider know for them to configure the meter for the feed in.8 months later we asked Dale: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Great experience

No after sales service
Installation and lead up to it were fine. Had problems with datalogger after installation. After initially trying to fix it they said they would come back. Waited a number of weeks then sent him text message, voicemail message and went to the office. They just refused to contact me. They are not as helpful after he has your money. Andrew from Solar Blu was friendly and very informative and took his time to get us exactly what we wanted so we went with that offer.
The woman from the other place called me initially in the first couple of days but then nothing for 3 weeks by which time we has purchased with Solar Blu.
