I received quotes from quite a few providers (both sourced from Finn's site and external)In the end I went with Solar Choice Australia (based in Somerton Park) as they were local and great to deal with.
Had 2 systems installed (over a period of a month and a half).
Rob (sales) was excellent to deal with, highly recommended. Easily contactable and very pleasant. No hard sell and was very accommodating of my various changes.
He dealt with all the necessary approvals from SAPN efficiently.
Gavin (installer) and his crew were fantastic! Knowledgeable and up to the challenge of the design we went with. Going above and beyond what was expected.
He spent nearly a week on this project as the install encompassed multiple orientations, tilts and different inverter systems (both string and optimized).
It rained on the install days and they powered through...
Also very responsive even after the install has been completed.
Would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
Only hiccup was the increase in pricing (through no fault of theirs, STC rates had dropped drastically during this period)
Even then the final cost was extremely competitive.
The final design went through many iterations, but the final result is one I'm very pleased with.
The installed system is a fairly large residential system.
I didn't go with the cheapest system but one with quality components that should perform well for many years to come.
Next step would be batteries once they come down in price sufficiently.
I would recommend doing your homework, ask questions on the Whirlpool site and reach out to Finn (if you have any further questions) before making your final decision.
Don't forget to add on some form of consumption monitoring to see what you actually produce/generate, consume, export and save.

I did not expect the inverter to regularly shut down and re-start on hot days. Apart from that, it works reasonably well.23 November 2017

I was looking at a Tailored system with specific hardware, and he has provide me just that.
I got 6 different quotes and his business came firs out of 3 for best value and also his good review.
The system was installed within 2 weeks. His contractor was very good, friendly and professional.
I have been using the system for a week now and It's performing very well so far.

I have had a Fronius inverter installed and initial testing indicated it will work well. The panels are Canadian.
Finn, I can not praise your work highly enough and have already recommended you to a friend. I am looking forward to 13 February.

Rob from Solar Choice Australia went above and beyond and made the process an absolute pleasure! Ended up with a 6.34kW system.

Paid a deposit with a tentative date for installation about 4 weeks later. No feedback from company and when I rang they informed me that there was a delay with the panels from Germany.Left it for another 3 weeks and had to ring again - apparently the shipment of panels had been damaged in the Queensland floods and they are waiting on a further shipment for Germany.
New tentative date for installation is early April
Would encourage this company to get on the front foot and keep their customers informed.

Probably above expectations. Average power generation over the time since installation is 18.5kW / Day
