It's been slow. I've paid my deposit several months ago and there are still no panels on my roof!

Shine On were excellent to deal with. The communication was great. Leighton the salesman was very informative and not pushy and was happy to make changes to the quote as necessary. Caitlin, the operations manager was excellent as well. Jan and his installers were friendly, quick, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Everything happened exactly on schedule. The installation was completely painless. Unfortunately in this age of "competition" in the retail electricity sector, there is completely unnecessary duplication of miscellaneous paperwork that bounced back and forth between Powercor and Red Energy, which slowed down my connection. I would not hesitate to recommend Shine On. Top job.

It just got installed on Friday. So not fully connected yet. At this stage the above answers are not completely accurate because the system is not up and running. I am happy to redo it in a few weeks when we are functioning. The salesman and the installers seemed very professional. The office back up was a little bit relaxed. For example they were supposed to send me paperwork before the install. I had to ring the day before the install to check if they were coming or not ie l still didn't have the paperwork. The installers bought it on the day.

I had my system installed today and it looks great. I would just like to thank Brad for his honest and trustworthy advise. I have listed the reasons that I chose Solar My Home and you will notice that I have not mentioned the price,this is because all of the quotes I got were similar in price. It is the details that matter.

I went with Shine On for the following reasons :
1. They are local and Australian owned .
2. The salesman (Brad ) has worked as an installer.
3. The company prides itself on using the best quality cables connections and hardware.
4. Brad organised my for T.V. antenna to be professionally moved (included in the cost of the system).
On the day of the installation.
The installers turned up on time and were very poite and courteous. They cleaned up completely on the day. The music that they had playing while they worked wasn�t too bad either!

Some issues with installation which were resolved after some anxious moments. Installed mid December and as yet the rate of output has not exceeded 1.7 kWh. I am told this rate is ok, so why is it nominated a 2 kWh system. I AM DISAPPOINTED.

We were really impressed with David Carty's clear explanation of the system and how it worked. His clear, concise explanation from the installation process to the firing up of the system was spot on. We were kept informed and things happened when they said they would.

Following placement of order, the system was installed within a week, and seems to be functioning as designed.

At this stage I am very pleased with both the sales and installation people and would be pleased to recommend both parties to anybody considering solar power. We now await the energy retailer to "do their bit".

The install was professionally done.
No conduit was used in the installation of the inverter. The installer drilled into the brick and threaded the cabled though, very clean :-)

Perfectly to this stage,happy went with the larger system than I required as receiving credits on all my bills now instead of charges

Sales - attentive, came to site several times, prepared to negotiate price, has been in touch since installation. Note also got quote from TruEnergy - cheapest, but didn't visit site and refused to itemise quote.
Design - excellent though panels had to be installed "landscape" because roof battens were incorrectly spaced.
Installation - very professional, thorough, safety conscious, good problem solver, committed to green energy.
Follow up - not so good; Energy Australia and Powercor asking for forms which they no longer use OR are headed differently. Being told that final tweaking of Smart Meter might take 6 weeks.

So far so good. Took longer than expected for installation. After speaking to Caitlyn at hand, office discovered they'd had a few problems with installers and very busy demand. Each time a asked for something in writing she was only too pleased to accommodate. Ordered system on 29/5/12 and had it installed today 24/7/12, so about 2 months. Guys who came out to install arrived when they said they would and were also very pleasant. I had two systems installed, one for myself and one for my parents, across the road.
Shine On (or Homegreen, as they were when we originally signed with them) were not the cheapest, and neither were they the most expensive. The reason we went with them was probably having the sales person arrange to come out straight away to give a quote and not just to it by email or over the phone. He was very professional and friendly.
Now, let's see how long it takes to get on the grid and for it all to be working.

We have had one issue after another with this installation and even with that I would still recommend this company.

Initially, we had 3 companies contact us and this was the only company that sent out a sales rep. The sales rep was great, knew his stuff and we were able to negotiate a good price (he beat the other two phone quotes easily). Installation was delayed and a couple of issues came up during installation but the staff kept me informed every step of the way. Customer service means a lot to me - I don't want to feel like another job that is just going through the system. The service that I've had has been excellent and any issues have been dealt with appropriately.

First installation by subbie had a deficiency which held things up for a while but Shine On was cooperative and problem overcome with some patience.

The overall experience with both Shine On (Home Green) and Solar SunWerx was fairly positive. The Solar SunWerx sales rep presented us with a quote that was slightly cheaper, but was to install panels on the south-east side of the house, which would have had far less exposure to the sun. It was disappionting that the Mark Group did not contact us in a reasonable time to provide a third quote.

The Shine On quote was negotiated down to an acceptable price, and we went with them. We are currently awaiting contact from SP Ausnet / TruEnergy to have our Smart Meter properly configured, etc., so don't know how successful the installation will be yet.

I highly recommend Homegreen & their installers. We got 5 quotes and I had done a lot of research before getting the quotes. From the first quote Homegreen were very knowledgable and the only company who could answer my 20+ questions! They were also the only ones who pointed out the advantages of generating more elecricity than we require and feeding it back into the grid, and the installation team were friendly and efficient. If you want to go solar, go with Homegreen! (No they are not paying me to say this -alas!)
