Great to deal with
Very good to deal with easy to get hold of and even though it was Christmas and busy time of the year they still managed to get our solar up in good time. Solar is working perfectly very neat and well done job.Panel rating: 5/5

Everyone knows your name
The initial phone call to let me know about Pioneer Solar was fantastic, no pushing for us to go through with it at all. Sales rep who came out to our home (which is out of town) spoke it terms that even our kids could understand what he was saying. Installer were fantastic, they worked like a well oiled machine. The call from the ladies in the office was great, they were so friendly and helpful. One of the biggest thing for me was that they all knew our names.02 August 2019

Origin Energy has very much disappointed us. Before we finally decided to proceed with the PV installation, we talked by phone with a member of the Solar division of Origin who assured us we would be paid 14 cents FIT. We find now that we are only going to get 7 cents. Obviously, this has seriously affected our pay-back calculations adding almost another year to the pay-back period. We find ourselves in a he-said she-said situation and stuck with the 7 cents FIT. Origin did however increase the level of discount to include the supply rate as well as any electricity rate. We wanted to stay with Origin, but will consider switching after our next account.8 months later we asked James: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
We actually haven't had the PV system for a full 12 months yet, having installed it in October 2017, so I hope I am not being too optimistic with the following. Excluding the first quarter's electricity account, as the cost of the new PV meter was included in that account and that cost was covered by the saving in our bill, we are delighted with the fact that our second account was a small credit realising a savings of >$350, even allowing for the Qld Govt electricity rebate. This in effect is about 7% of our total installation cost and if this return is maintained, the system will have paid for itself in under 4 years. Furthermore, sidelining the calculations of the system's efficiency, when consideration is given to the fact that for an all-up outlay of $5,584 under today's very low investment rates of <3% would net a $168 return. But for the same investment on our roof and conservatively estimating a saving of $1,000 per year on our electricity accounts would net an ~18% return. This is a great return on investment by anyone's calculation. So yes, we are indeed very pleased with our decision to install our PV system and very happy with the equipment and installers thus far.11 April 2018

The customer service has been excellent. My first bill came in after it was it was installed amd after only 5 weeks out of the quarter with them my bill nearly cut in half!

Was quoted for 24 panels but could only fit 21 panels on the roof.
Stay away
There has been nothing but drama the whole process. The salesman was great until the problems started. They installed the solar panels and not the inverter. Came back 10 weeks later to install the inverter. Great we now had solar. NOT.The electrician failed to lodge the paper work required to install. Ergon was going to fine us as it was an illegal installation , this was 6 months after installation
Now roll on another month and Ergon turns up as the meter is not compatable.
Ergon Energy informs us that this is the most difficult company to deal with.
also Pioneer Solar told Ergon that it was our fault...HOW. They did not lodge the paperwork.
We have now paid 7 months of payments with no return from our solar
We have lost over 3000 units into the grid
These people do not return calls and you are forever chasing them up.
