Great quick install.
Quoted to get a 13kw system installed. Unfortunately, had to delay one week due to bad weather.However, when the install day arrived, the installation was less than a day even though it was quoted as a two day job.
Great service with minimal disruption. A great clean job, well done.

Fantastic installers. Great pre and after sales support.
Jack from Open Electrical spent sufficient time with us to explain the finer details of the product they sell, and how he would determine a quote to meet our needs. He is knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely helpful. Before finalising he advised that he would discuss the quote with his supervisor to ensure it was in order and priced correctly.The installers who spent the day at our property were polite, efficient, helpful and happy to explain what they were doing and adjust the layout of the panels to suit our preference.
All in all this was a very productive and welcome experience and we'd have no hesitation in recommending Open Electrical as a reliable and professional solar provider.

Good value plus quality
The quoting process was a bit slow, but that gave me time to change my mind. Open Electrical's sales person was happy for me to change the setup and answered my questions about different components. We went with the Fronius Eco-System setup so that I could use the Smart Metre to control my EV charging. All staff were polite, professional, and friendly. I was shown how to use the Fronius Solar Web and it was setup for me after everything was commissioned.Panel rating: 5/5

Excellent customer service, knowlegable on product and flexible on installation
As a fussy customer with almost 30 years in the electrical trades and engineering industry, I was pleasantly surprised by the patient approach that Mark and the Open Electrical team had when recommending the product and how it was to be installed. Mark went to great lengths to listen to how I wanted the cabling and panels installed, and selecting the hardware to be used. His tradesmen left the site clean and tidy and were pleasant to deal with. In today fast paced electrical industry where many corners are cut to save a dollar, I was pleased to have chosen Open Electrical to see them go to all lengths to ensure we were happy. Excellent from beginning to end
The quoting process was straight forward and Open Electrical clearly outlined all elements and answered all of my questions. The installation was swift, the team was very polite and they efficiently installed the panels and then explained the work they had completed. The team stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process and checked in to explain what was happening at the different phases. I recommend Open Electrical as an honest, helpful and value for money solar business and we are very pleased we signed with them.25 May 2024

System installed
The system was installed however no instructions were provided without at least 2 requests and then I received the instructions for experienced installers.I have no idea if the system is working as I have significant trouble with Origin, my retailer. I have had to escalate the problems to the Ombudsman. eg Origin said the meter (new in April) needed to be changed then reconfigured? no power is still being measured despite an installer attending (subbie from Energex, Origin still cannot tell me when all works will be completed, solar installed on 3 July2023.
I am at a loss to get the problems fixed and if I had known it was this hard I would never have had solar installed.
I have 2 other properties but with these problems sincerely doubt if I will install solar.
10 months later we asked Ian: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
My power bill increased by over 300% initially and it has taken over 12 months to have some sense with my account. I am still unsure if the meter is recording the correct usage and giving me the correct refund.30 April 2024
Fantastic Company to Deal With
From start to finish everything went exceptionally well with Open Electrical. From quoting-Grant, Admin- Regan & Shannen, Crews-Hunter & Phil, Rhys & Michael & last but not least Mark-Owner.Anytime I had an email query Mark would be onto me next day early. I started saying Hi Mark as I knew he rang like clockwork. Everything was suggested & done well. I actually went from deciding on a 6 kw system to a 10 kw as everything was so easy & well priced.
My older system was taken away as it was no longer working adequately. I also asked the previous company I had used to quote. There was no follow up at all & I still haven't heard from them as to them asking how their quote went. You snooze you lose. The inverter was a better option with Open Electrical was still a saving.
I have some pics to upload but my roof needs replacing/repairing & would not look good against Opens work.

Happy Customer
Open Electrical recently installed a 6.6 kw solar system at our home.The whole process was very smooth from beginning to end.
The sales, quoting, communication, response to questions was excellent.
The installation was very efficient and technicians were very professional, knowledgeable and responsive - also very tidy.
Customer Service was excellent. Price was extremely competitive with 4 other quotes we received.
I would definitely recommend the Open Electical team for a solar installation.

Simply the BEST
From start to finish i cannot fault this company. Reegan was extremely attentive and polite. Her customer service is out of this world. Mark was super friendly, down to earth and honest. The quote was extremely competitive and the whole process was so smooth i cannot thank the team enough. We have dealt with a number of contractors on our new house. TBH we were worried it was going to be another cased of getting the run around. But it wasn't. We booked our install, they called to advise they could do it earlier due to a cancellation. The team arrived on time and had the entire system installed in half a day, in the summers sun/heat with 0 complaints. The team that attended were extremely lovely and hardworking. Solar installation
Open Electrical were informative, not pushy, responsive to communication and helpful in every respect. Mark recognised the stress of trying to be sure the right decision is made and came to check that I was satisfied at the end of the job. The installers Theo and Phil could not be faulted. They were extremely courteous and very careful. Their work was praised by another electrician I had on site the following week.04 October 2023

Good quality and price
An easy quoting process as Regan and Mark were happy to quote over the phone. Mark had good knowledge and explained things well. All the companies from Solar Quotes were good, but in our experience, Open Electrical offered the best value for money, which is why we chose them. Communication could have been better regarding installation as I was expecting the job to be completed in one day (and had arranged to be home from work for that day) but on the day I was told that installation would be split over two days. Fortunately my wife could cover the second day. The installers themselves were friendly, efficient and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. There was some confusion about the grid connection process afterwards, but it was sorted in a couple of days. I'd be happy to recommend them. My only regret is that I didn't get a smart meter installed at the same time. I need that consumption data! I'll probably add this on sometime soon.Panel rating: 5/5

Initial dealings was positive happy with the info of the quoter
Other quotes were either pushy to upgrade the system to bigger spec or just wanted to under spec.Initial dealings with Open Electrical was good, Dennis was very knowledgable, told me about a Green Home Loan which i ended up using which is amazing! Didnt seem as sales orientated just a good old fashioned electrician who was providing his experience.
Installation was very neat and quick, installer even changed design i requested on the spot.
Little bit of a shame i have to wait for energex to come replace meter before i get feed tariff happening but not installer fault.
Seem like a good company but suppose time will tell for after sales support so fingers crossed for that one!

I had called them previosly to get quotes and the staff were friendly and reliable. When I had decided to go ahead I again called getting the same person on the phone 18 months later just as friendly. The sales rep was just as nice and had printouts of Fins websites best rated systems and converters. The price was great and the install timeframe was perfect.Panel rating: 5/5

Fast, Efficient an all round good experience
The sales quotation was completed after a full site inspection. Open Electrical took the time to explain all the possible combinations and were able to answer all my questions satisfactorily. The electronic quote arrived quickly pricing both system sizes that I asked for.The Electricians arrived on time and completed the entire install efficiently and quickly (3.5 Hours). They left the site extremely tidy ensuring that all rubbish and packaging were removed. The grid connection was arranged prior so went ahead immediately the system was switched on. The installers gave an overview and tutorial on the monitoring app
and made sure it I was happy with it. Open Electrical followed up the following day to ensure that all was good. Which it was.
Overall a good experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Open Electrical to anyone requiring a Solar Install.

Solar Installation
From the first contact with Dennis Open Electrical were professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The office follow up was professional and kept me informed as the work was proceeding. The installation guys were on time, and were friendly and polite and the installation was completed as promised. They took the old solar system away and left my property tidy. They organised the grid connection for me. I had a great experience with this company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.18 May 2022

Wonderful Solar install
We were extremely happy with Open Electrical's supply and install of our 34 panel, 13.4 Kw solar power system. From the initial contact they were friendly, professional, punctual with great communication. Their price far outweighed their competitors, and the service was very good. They kept us informed continually, answered our phone calls, turned up on time, and on the day they said they would. Their workers were great, friendly and informative, and just got on with the job which they completed in 2 days. 8kW System does not perform to 8kW - we must be the only 8kW system that doesn't reach 8kW
Purchased and installed a 10.37kW system with 25 x 415W panels and 8kW Sungrow Inverter - day 1 system went to 5kW - reported to OE - 3 days later technician arrived, walked over the roof and shook everything - system went to 6.5kW. Since then the system occasionally reaches 7.5kW but then backs off and on a very sunny day goes between 6.5 to 7.5kW. Reported to OE. a few days later technician arrived (without a ladder) and walked the roof. Tried to tell me there were trees shadowing the roof, the design and installation was perfect ie. not their fault - this was at 12noon and there was no shadows even close. House and panels point just west of north - apparently perfect. According to my calculations there are 2 inputs to the inverter - 1 produces 2.905kW and the other produces 7.47kW. Has system checked by my electrician and he says these readings are incorrect and should be changed.What do I want? the system to works as other 8kW systems. I have photos of another 8kW system in Brisbane and, on a sunny day, I regularly see it hit 8kW about 10am and stay there until after 2pm.

Happy costumer
13 Kw Rec alpha panels, 10 kw, 3 phase inverter at my house.Jack was the sales consultant - very good knowledge and very professional.
The whole process can’t be any more smoother, quoting, discussion ( Jack - very patient with my questions)
Site inspection- Luke electrician and Jack.
Admin staff
Installation by an electrician and apprentice ( sorry can’t remember their name) but were very good.
Paper work to transition to Energex and origin.
Setting up the smart meter/monitoring app.
Follow up by an electrician next week to calibrate meters.
First quarter bill arrived today after only used feed in for 28 days.
Bill has gone down from 700 to 270.
Would recommend open electricals with full confidence.

Best value for money with qulity panels and inverter
Open Electrical (www.openelectricial.com.au) were great ! They gave me the best value for money system with REC panel and Fronius inverter. The system I got is 8Kw but the inverter will allow me to add more panels to go to 10Kw.The process of buying was excellent, they were very upfront and honest and accommodated my needs as my roof is getting replaced so agreed to do the install in two stages.
Would highly recommend them if you are looking around the Brisbane area.

Outstanding service
I contracted the Open Electrical team to install a 10.5KW solar system and can't be more happy with that decision.The team is very professional and experienced in the field. Their service and communication is outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a solar system installed.
I did about 6 quotes with other providers before getting in contact with Dennis from Open Electrical. After he went through all the different options, explained the process and how they do the job I felt way more comfortable with them than with any of other provider.

Good experience from quote to after sales questions
Best price I got on Southside - no pushy salesmen.Communicated options to me and gave me an install date weeks out. Technicians turned up on time did the job and got everything setup incl wifi connectivity.
They even moved the whirlybird to another part of the roof so that all panels could fit on north facing side - small things like this were included: no other installer offered to do this.

From Sales to dual installation nothing seemed too much. Can only praise their team.
Sales and quoting done on the day selected, no high pressure only what was asked of.Installation was a two part, as i wanted the roof painted. Nothing was a problem, all done promptly and on time. Very tidy installation, polite and punctual.
Customer service was outstanding, unfortunately were not home to get operating instructions, but installer did set up and leave instructions on use etc. All other paperwork was organised by them.
