Original Review on 12-11-2020:
Solar System
We went with NGS I found the salesman to be knowledgeable although a bit over the top and quite pushy at the end. But I went with this system because of new technology. The installers were fantastic and did a great job. At this stage I don’t think the solar has been switched over Aurora have to do this so I can't compare how much we are saving.8 months later we asked Leeanne: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
No. Very disappointed.
A step towards independence
A sub came finally to a telemarketer who was selling solar panels & batteries. Before I knew I had the ACT rep for National Grid Support Service (NGSS). On offer was not to touch my existing panels & inverter but to add 15 more panels & 2 x 5kw batteries with one of them with a built in generic inverter suitable for 3 phase power. The total cost $16359, in the ACT the local government was offering interest free loans over 10 years. The rep organised all the paperwork for the loan & submitted them for approval. Installation was 10 days later, the system was up & running & connected to the grid. Talking to the installer I wanted to know if the system would be able to provide lighting & power if there was a blackout, he said it wasn't necessary in the ACT as we have the record for the least number of blackouts Australia wide. After checking with NGSS they installed the necessary equipment that would supply power to the kitchen as well as supplying power for lights. The workforce arrived on time, were polite, cleaned up when the work was finished & explained things as they were working & answered questions about the system. The system is connected to the grid & is awaiting inspection. When the work was complete they explained the functions of the app so that we could see what is happening with the power being produced. They also explained that they also use the app to monitor all the systems they installed every week to ensure that they are all working to their best ability.
