Best service and quality products from
Matrix were 1 of 3 quotes we had via SolarQuotes website. We also had a 4th installer out to quote. Andrew from Matrix was more informative than the others and answered all of our questions. The pricing was also competitive. We had a complete solar panel, inverter and battery system installed within 3 weeks of initial quote from Matrix.Installation was tidy and professional. Unfortunately we weren't around when they finished the job so we were not able to be shown any components of the system on the app. However, the app is simple to use and even though we haven't had our first bill yet, we can see from the app how well the solar and battery system is working for us.

An installer who listens to you and provides a great value product and installation
Andrew attended our house in the Southern Fleurieu to measure and quote. He explained what could be done and what would not work.The installation was fast and trouble free.
Dion and his crew were courteous, thoughtful and very through in their work. They left the site very clean.
Dion showed me how the app worked and which circuits were wired into the battery in case of a blackout.
He demonstrated how the HWS timer worked.
Overall I am very happy with both the product and service provided by Andrew, Dion and their team.

5 Stars for Matrix
Andrew from Matrix Solar responded very quickly to our request for a quote, of the 3 quotes he was only one to come to our residence for an in person quote and quote was hence best tailored to our needs. Every question was well answered and the end quote was way better value for money than other other quotes.Install happened 3 days later thanks to a free spot in Matrix's schedule and the job was was completed by a team of 5 the same day.
Dion and Andrew were more than happy to assist with any questions and queries pre, during and post job.
I highly recommend Matrix solar.

Questions answered
Even questions I didn't know I needed to ask were answered patiently, and comprehensively.Installers were punctual, polite and very tidy.
Explained the app very clearly.
Everything seems to be working. Haven't had first electricity bill yet.
Solar quotes checklist was a great start to the process, as it sometimes felt like comparing apples and peanuts. Possibly could be extended, and/or simplified for those of us with zero knowledge of the process. Thanks for the starter.

Optimised Solar system
Contact after introduction was very quick as was the follow up to visit site and provide a quote. Installation timing was well within the nominated time frame although I followed up to confirm date for installation. The installation team was prompt arriving in the time frame advised and worked very efficiently. The old system was removed and the new system installed on a two storey house within 6 hours - very satisfied with workmanship and the team that did the work. The system has been performing well and as specified since installation.10 months later we asked Mike: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The system is generating well and much more than the system it replaced. It doesn’t always generate to its maximum theoretical output but I’m happy with its performance.Due to the quality of the panels, the Fronius inverter and the quality of the installation I’ve not had any reason to contact the installer.

I am a little disappointed in after sales service about giving us a good deal on a battery extensions especially when i payed the invoice within hours of receiving it so it would have been niece to have given us are reasonable on the battery that's all.Inverter rating: 5/5

Andrew visited our house and spent a nearly two hours explaining the details of solar systems and installations. He was very friendly and helpful. Quick and easy install, terrible after sales service
Quick to call and supply a quote. Attended and installed quickly and efficiently with minimum disruption to the household.Would give a 5-star review but unfortunately took multiple calls to get a follow up to a minor issue. The issue was resolved quickly once I received a response. Wanted some additional work done and asked for a quote 3 times and am still waiting even after finally receiving a phone call and following up by emails. Ended up getting extra work done through another company.
The initial consult was good, installers were efficient and professional, after-sales service was woeful.

Excellent. Andrew was great to deal with, Max and his young lad (sorry I forgot his name) were quick, precise and friendly. Really happy with whole install.

Frustrating and unprofessional process
We finally got our solar active in May after a long and frustrating experience with Matrix Solar with significant cost and time blowouts. The initial meeting, in November 2022, was informative and we received a competitive quote that day. We initially accepted it on December 5 and were asked to send through a power bill. We then heard nothing until I chased them up on Dec 20. We were told the install would happen between 23 and 27 Jan, which was fine since we were away early Jan. Again, we heard nothing and I chased them up on Jan 21. They suggested the 25th and we agreed, asking for details including anything we needed to have ready, details, and what to expect, but received no response.On the 25th, workmen arrived and began the install. We were informed quickly that we needed an ungraded meterbox to continue with installation. We asked why this wasn't discovered earlier and were told it was not possible. Speaking to other installers afterwards, we were told proper site inspection is standard practice and would have revealed the issue. After a lot of back and forth, Matrix said their electrical arm could carry out the upgrade for $2600 plus "$200 - 300" for SA Power to reconnect, and that they were dependent on SA Power for the date this could occur. We asked for a quote for the electrical work and confirmation in writing but received no response. The price proposed was competitive, but a significant extra cost to the original quote.
We were finally contacted by SA Power on March 19, saying the upgrade would occur on 27 April and cost $1544. We contacted Matrix that day, very unimpressed that the original timeline had gone from 6 weeks and was now over three months, and the original cost of around $7000 was now over $11000. We asked for a full breakdown of the costs, a written quote, and the reasons for the SA Power cost being so high. We were called that day and given various excuses, but had to chase up our request and finally received the information 11 days later. We were told the electrical work would be completed in the days before 27 April.
On 24 April, we had received no communication and again chased up Matrix asking for the day the work would be done, times we needed to be home, etc. The reason given for the lack of communication was that different parts of the business use different spreadsheets.
The work was finally all completed on 27/4, and we were generally impressed with the workers. The new meterbox was installed neatly and we have not had any issues since. The instructions given when the solar was connected were clear and they helped set up monitoring apps and left the area clean.
The final frustration was being told by our energy supplier six weeks later that they had never been notified that we had solar, so our exports were not active. I understand if this was an issue on their end, but being told to check this would have been nice, and there was no post-install contact at all.
Overall, the installation staff were professional, polite, and efficient, the system is good quality, work was neat, and no technical issues since the install. The price and time blowouts left us very dissatisfied, but the lack of professionalism and communication from Matrix made the process much more frustrating than it should have been. We understand unforeseen costs and delays occur, especially when dealing with SA Power, but customers should not be left wondering and chasing up responses.

Immediate Install
Andrew did a good job explaining everything and making clear what would be done, and the best position for the panels.In the end I went with Matrix because they could do the job much sooner than the rest, even though their price was little higher. In fact Andrew rang back the next day (Saturday) and said they could do the job on Monday three days earlier than originally planned. Now that doesn’t happen very often.
The installers were great - polite, tidy and punctual and completed the job promptly and I got half a day’s worth of electricity production so the grid connection happened right away.
Only one issue was the installers had to move the TV antenna a little higher up the roof which meant it caught more wind and blew over in a freak high wind storm a few days after the installation and almost hit a panel. I had to act quickly and had our maintenance men remove it and they had it reinstalled by another electrician. I spoke with Andrew about it and he said that, if I’d rang him, they would have fixed the issue at no cost. We are currently negotiating a partial reimbursement.
I would recommend this company. The installers are employed by Matrix and do a great job.

Excelent system. Very satisified with Matrix Solar Solutions.
Matrix was the only company that quoted that visited the property, and Andrew was thorough in discussing our existing usage and potential future needs. The proposed system was very similar to others, not the cheapest (by $50) but stood out as it included a Fronius Primo GEN24 inverter (software upgradable to become a hybrid inverter), rather than a cheaper model.The panel installation occured within a fortnight, in the lead up to Xmas. Unfortunately, the inverter had to be installed a couple of days later due to a shipping delay. Not Matrix's fault at all - just what happens with freight at that time of year. Installer was on time, willing to answer questions, and did a good job of cleaning up (both visits).
My electricity retailler (Simply Energy) doesn't have a web portal for solar installations, but Andrew provided me with all the info I needed to get smart meter installation arranged with them. The smart meter is now in and I'm waiting on Simply Energy to get up to speed at their end. In short very happy with Matrix Solar Solutions.

6.66kw Jinko & Fronius installation
Sales process was good. I wouldn’t say any better than the service I received from the other 2 companies. I went with Matrrix due to the quality of the product and the price. Once I signed up the customer service dropped off from the sales person.The installation wasn’t as easy as they expected as I had an existing enphase micro inverter system to contend with. I requested a fronius consumption meter which didn’t arrive on the day off install instead they wired it up to my enphase envoy-s meter. This took approximately a week to sort out before the system was fully installed and functioning. Sounds good in principle, having one monitoring app, but I’m now unable to monitor the performance of the 2 new arrays. Will contact the company to see if there is any way around this.

Good service, good information.
Was one of 2 quoters who visited us, 1 was phone only. Provided additional knowledge about inverters that I was not aware of. Installation was within a few days of acceptance, quick and efficient. Available on phone to answer minor questions. Sorted out a problem with the request for new smart meter (paperwork). Small section of framework that projected off roof was promptly removed when asked.8 months later we asked Mike: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
In summer generated over 1000 Kwh a month, in winter about 500 Kwh a month. Happy with that.23 August 2022
Good experience
The quote process was relatively simple and quick with no issues. Salesperson was pleasant and professional. Installation went flawlessly with the guys managing to fit our install in about 2 weeks sooner than I expected. Installers arrived on time and removed and tidied up all rubbish before they left. Did not even know they had been if I did not look at the roof. Have asked some basic questions about the Fronius monitoring system which have yet to be answered but overall a very professional, hassle free process through Matrix Solar Solutions23 August 2022
Happy, so far
From the beginning, Troy impressed me with his presentation, communication and information. He was patient answering my questions as a novice and explained things fully. I was happy with the balance of quality product and a price I can afford.Andy organised installation and that all went smoothly. I was impressed when his communication continued after hours. The actual installation went smoothly and I impressed that the installers cleaned up after themselves.
The system has been up and operational for less than a month. Everything seems to be going fine but I'm yet to see how the savings play out. That will take a while I'm sure, given that it's winter and we've had quite a bit of rain and grey days.

A solar install very well done.
Matrix Solar were punctual with call out, inspecting the installation site and discussing requirements. Very friendly and professional, quoted on site. Installation was also very punctual, quicker than expected, installers were very polite and friendly, keeping us informed of progress. Easy as pie
The quote was done on time as agreed. Everything was explained ( as much as I understood).The actual installation was fast and the boys were lovely.
Because of my energy provider, I had to initiate connection to the grid which wasn't hard with the info I had been provided with.
If only I could get the link to the app so I can see what my system is generating. That seems to be the only issue herennn

Excellent experience in many respects
This company was the only one who has contacted me the earliest, the man in charge personally visited the house, inspected the facilities, offered valuable advice. The installation was next day after I have accepted the quote. The only hiccup was the need to install curtailing controller from SwitchDin, which they have never done, as this is only needed in a few suburbs. This was done the following morning and my system started to generate solar power then.24 April 2022

Fabulous product, but after sales support not great
Everything was fabulous, and we love our system. It is already saving us money.The after sales support however has been a bit disappointing. I've emailed, phoned, and texted, to ask some more questions, but there has been no reply so far in the week after installation.

Its never too late to get solar
The sales/quoting process was simple, factual and honest. Any questions post quote and/or per-installation was addresses quickly via email and followed up by a call.I was lucky in that there had been a cancellation for an install with another client and I was able to get the system installed within a week of accepting the quote.
The guys arrived at 07:30 and discussed all aspects of the installation answering any questions I had as and when asked and were extremely polite, punctual, efficient and tidy.
Being an engineer it has been said that I am a little critical of all things related to tradies carrying out work on my property and I have to say I was very impressed with the whole job.
Whilst I can't comment for other installers I can say that Matrix Solar Solutions exceeded my expectations and I am more than happy to recommend them to friends and family who are looking to install a solar system to their property.

My solar experience
This business was very easy to deal with. Installation was clean and started shortly after signing up. Barely a n off cut of wire, 2cm was all that I found. They also took away the old panels from the previous solar system and completed the installation before the day end. The boss of the company came and set up the Fronius inverter so I can see on the app how the system is going.It works better than I expected

From the first phonecall I knew Andrew was knowledgeable and professional he personally came to our house and conducted a thorough site inspection and also physically measured our roof to make sure the panels would fit he was a man of his word and all works where completed in a very prompt and professional manner i cannot stress enough how professional matrix solar solutions conduct themselves and their work speaks for itself i chose matrix solar solutions for their honesty and professionalism and have happily recommended them to friends and family8 months later we asked Kai: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
