Koala Solar is a local, family-run business based in sunny Perth, WA. Our installation team are CEC accredited solar installers – experienced electricians on a mission to help all West Australians achieve energy independence. Started in 2012 as Line Tech Energy, we became Koala Solar in 2015.

You’ll notice the systems we install are a little different: quality solar systems that include a 10-year workmanship warranty, aftercare support and maintenance. 

Koala Solar provides residential and commercial solar systems in Perth and the South West region, with a wide range of solar panels, inverters and batteries available to add value to your property. 
We are also Fronius Solutions Partner and Tesla Powerwall Certified Installers. 

Koala Solar is an Approved Retailer of the Clean Energy Council of Australia, and our inhouse installers are qualified and CEC certified electricians. We have completed thousands of solar panel installations in Perth and throughout Western Australia suburbs. When you engage our services, you can expect:

Top workmanship, prompt service

After being harassed for years by solar canvassers I decided to go with a family run local company that didn't door knock offering "amazing deals and threats of the ending rebate"
Koala solar stood out for me, prompt response to my enquiry.
Offered affordable options to suit my needs,
Honest and true workmanship.
Tidy and timely.
From enquiry to install date was 1 week and job done in under 4 hours.
The team was a wealth of knowledge and answered every question I had!.

Koala solar removed my old system at no charge.
Installed new system on same day, whole job about 5 hours.
Turned up on time. Proffessional install. Clean and tidy tradesmen.
Connected to grid logged me in. Gave run down on operation of system.

Quick and Efficient Installer

After researching and asking around, we had a couple of people recommend Koala. We reached out to them and they sent us quote for a solar system installation. It took us a while to decide to pull the trigger on the installation but in that time, they didn't try reaching out by following up every few days - which I really appreciated.

For the installation, they came at the time they said and were polite and tidy. After the installation they showed me and explained how the app works.

So Easy

From start to Finish Stuart and the team were so easy to deal with ,Bri in the office keeps you up to date on everything .
No pressure sales just solid info & a emailed quote for you to decide in your own time , i have not got time for people coming around my house so the online quote with a picture to show the postion of panels was perfect ? for us .
The install was a breeze i was not there personally just spoke on the phone to Stuart & everything was sweet as
they take care of all the paperwork etc so makes it super easy

Amazing customer service!

From the beginning Koala Solar were very easy to deal with. Their customer service was excellent and they kept me informed of the whole process. They required no deposit. The installers were punctual, polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves. They also helped me to install the app on my phone. I would use and recommend Koala Solar again, 10/10.

Fantastic Company!

jWe have just had Solar installed by Koala and we couldn't be happier!
From the start there was no hard sell from Sean, he answered all my questions and there were many of them.
Kristie and the other admin couldn't do enough for us walking us through the process and even getting a cancellation date so we could get installed early
Stu and Jordon turned up on time and with a smile on what was a rainy cold day, they installed our system in a timely, professional manner. Stu answered a lot more of my questions and explained how it all worked and how to get the best out of the system.

I would happily recommend Koala Solar to everyone, a real pleasure to deal with

Positive experience all round - and happy with new solar system

I sought quotes via Solar Quotes with two companies responding out of the three invited to quote.

Of the two I went with Koala Solar. I am very happy with the experience all round. Contact was prompt and initially by phone to determine what I was looking to install and followed quickly after with a site visit and then proposal for panels, inverter and optimal placement of each. Proposal provided detailed information on recommended products, placement and orientation of panels and inverter (included rooftop photos), and estimates on daily production, return on investment, etc. No hard sales pitch or overselling of products. Installation was booked for a couple of weeks later. Team turned up on time and worked steadily to install the panels and inverter (it was a wet and wild day, but this didn't seem to faze them or slow the work). Office staff dealt with Western Power, so other than provide a recent power bill, there was little that I needed to do other than note emails updating on progress for approvals and confirmation of installation date. Workmanship was to a high standard and tidy - no mess to clean up afterwards. Payment was on completion of the job. The Fronius app - is great. I can monitor solar power output in real time - output is damn good even on a cloudy wintery day! I would use Kolar Solar again and highly recommend.

Delivered as promised

We used Kolar Solar to supply and install a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery and Car Wall Connector charger. The lads explained everything first and worked diligently to have all equipment put in the location to optimise the layout. We were really impressed with the quality of install together with the actual performance of the battery and wall charger. Like all decisions the cost plaid a major factor and they were by far the better priced for these particular products. We have nothing but positive feedback for these operators and trust in them to deliver as promised.

Quality system at competitive price

Quoting process was easy. The company doesn't require deposit after accepting the quote. On the installation day, the installers were polite and punctual. the inverter were installed at location we preferred. The installer explains the things that I need to know after finishing the installation.

Fantastic Install

Got a 6.6kw system installed by Koala after obtaining 4 quotes from Solar Quotes.
Adam the sales rep visited the house to advise on system size, inverter location and check out possible issues with an old meter box configuration. He was very helpful and not at all pushy.
Quote offered 2 options and were comparable to other providers or cheaper.
From acceptance of quote to install was a few weeks wait but nothing excessive.
On install day Stuart and his offsider arrived on time at 7am and were finished just after 11am. Install was neat and tidy, no roof tiles were cracked (I had even obtained spares as I was warned there would be a couple of casualties) and Stuart helped me set up the app to monitor production. Meter box configuration was resolved without issue.
Paperwork was all completed prior to install and I am extremely happy with the entire process!
I would thoroughly recommend Koala solar.

Amazing and streamline

I shopped around for Solar and had some many cheap sales pitches. A friend of mine that recommended going with Koala and they were so easy to deal with and honest. Booked me in and had it installed 3 weeks later.
Couldn't be happier, great price. Alsp the intallers were punctual and professional.

Highly recommended installer

The sales pitch was distinctly different to all other quoters in that it was directed to helping me make a decision rather than Koala making a sale. The quoting process took into account all my questions and concerns. The installation proceeded on time and the 8 to 10 installers here on the day were polite and professional . The team appeared to be very well coordinated. The grid, battery and smart meter connections were done efficiently and 6 weeks after the installation nothing has gone wrong with any aspect of the system, other than issues with the Fonius app which Koala sorted out directly with Fronius.

Best value quote, timely installation and quality components. They also come to your house to do the quote (no charge).

I got three quotes through solarquoates. Koala were the only ones to actually come to my house to inspect the site. They also included better components than the other quotes (Fronius inverter) and also came in at the lowest price. The other quotes wanted to charge a further premium for the Fronius inverter and only matched Koala solar when selecting chinese inverters and/or cheaper panels.
The install was relatively quick and easy and the guys installing were punctual and helpful explaining the install process, tweaking positions and locations of the panels to optimize for the sun direction and helped with setting up the inverter app and registering the inverter.

Highly recommended

I highly recommend Koala Solar for all your solar needs at a great price. They were quick to quote on a suitable system that suited our needs and not pushy in getting the sale.

Amazing Experience

Recently had Koala solar install our system on a new house. From the first contact I made with koala solar to the installation day, they were extremely helpful, informative and didn’t bug or put pressure on you to sign up with them. On time, everything as quoted, efficient

Quote was done quickly. Most of the queries responded to timely. Full transparency with cost and material used. The planning process was super smooth and advised given along the way. Koala Solar, an all positive experience!

Koala Solar installed our 6.6Kw system and it was a very positive experience from the start onwards. The support and information we received from the office was excellent.
On installation day they arrived promptly at the time that was pre-arranged and when the job was done they explained everything about the system and helped setting up the App to track what the system is doing. They left the property clean and tidy.

Extremely happy with my system and install.

The whole process was simple, from ordering to installation i didnt have a drama at all. I was kept updated with the progress of the job and on the install day the installers were on time, friendly (my dog recived a lot of pats lol) and willing to answer my many questions. They set the system up on my phone without any fuss. I will be recomending them to family and friends.

Koala Solar - Great from quote to install and beyond.

The Koala Solar sales and quoting process was great. They responded within 24 hours of requesting a quote via SolarQuotes and were friendly over the phone.

The Koala Solar install team, Jayden and Dylan, were punctual, polite and helpful. They arrived at the time stated as per the email (7am), set up quickly and quietly got to work. They explained why there was a slight change between the panel array on quote image of the roof and the install. They were very helpful in setting up the app via wifi as well. They also enjoyed discussing pros and cons of batteries.

Overall customer service from the Koala Service team has been great. I'll go back to them straight away if the economics of a battery storage ever stack up for us.

Best company ever dealt with

Koala Solar sent me a quote online and that was it. No pushy calls or messages whatsoever, in fact I never heard from them again until I called them after also getting a number of quotes from other companies in the meantime.
Once I finally called them, they booked it in that was that. They actually called me while I was waiting for the install and they offered me an earlier install date, which I kindly accepted.
Punctual and polite, the install was awesome and Koala arranged everything with the energy retailer, I didn't have to do a thing. The best part? No broken roof tiles. The installers set me up with the app on my phone, cleaned up every bit of mess and left. I have made a couple of enquiries with them since the install, only from being a solar amateur, and they were very helpful.

Koala Solar | Absolutely stood out against others

With so many companies in the solar market, it was absolutely worth going out to multiple companies to get quotations on a comparable system.

I reached out to Koala Solar, and was refreshed to not have a pushy sales person to deal with. They were quickly able to quote on a system that was fit for purpose and suited my personal needs.

Although I had to wait several weeks for the installation date from time of locking in with Koala, the wait was well and truely worth it.

The installation crew arrived promptly on time and commenced install and commisioning of the system.

The install team were happy to agree to installing the inverter within the garage even-though this is on the other side of the house to the DB and as far practicable avoid the eyesore that is surface mounted conduit, especially when it’s over the top off a cavity wall.

Commendable work ethic of the crew, they did a fantastic job considering the extra complexity of installing the panels over 2 levels of roofs

The system itself is functioning as expected, currently enjoying the AC without the worry of an expensive power bill!!

Excellent install

The sales person arrived on time and explained the process. Office communicated clearly about all the paperwork and install date options. Installers arrived at 7am, confirmed where the inverter and panels would go, worked without any fuss. They helped me set up an app to monitor the system. Finally they picked up their rubbish before leaving.
Install was completed before lunch.

Quality all round solar company. 5 stars

I’d been looking for solar for a while and ended up just going round and round in circles.

I saw Koala solar installing in the area, their install looked very good and the installers were very polite, approachable and informative. I called the office and dealt with Sean he was very helpful, knowledgeable and organised I had a quote the next day and I was signed up that afternoon.

The office was very efficient they made paperwork easy and communicated with me well at every stage.

The install team were great !! very good install. From the panels to the inverter and wiring all neat and tidy they left site 100% clean

Fast and easy install

Koala were very efficent when installing. All took just over 3 hours and they helped to install the app on our phones to monitor energy that was being made.

They were polite and friendly and also cleaned and tidied their messes.

You can't ask for a better installer

I got 10 quotes from various Perth installers and the price difference and quoting process left alot to be desired from most of the companies.
I asked for a like for like quote to compare quotes and too be honest the prices were all over the place.
It was a significant investment I was making and I wanted a good install with backup should anything go wrong.

Koala fitted the bill as far as pricing(they were not the cheapest) and product knowledge were concerned and after looking at solarquotes and Google reviews I went with them.

Johnny at sales was top notch answering every question I had and if he didn't know the answer he found out and got back to me.
The admin staff are great and on the ball with all the relevant paperwork supplied very quickly.
The installation team turned up on time and in the 6hrs they were at my house they removed 13 old panels and racking and fitted 24 new panels, 5kw hybrid inverter and a 19.2kwh battery all in 31 degree heat.
Stuart was great and kept me informed and Callum (electrician) knows his stuff.
I obtained 20 roof tiles just in case and they were not needed. Not one cracked tile. I checked the install just in case.
The area was left clean and all rubbish removed.

The system is working great so far and I have not used any grid electricity in the last week.

If your looking for a quality install at a reasonable price give Koala solar a ring you won't be disappointed.
