Solar Installation
Island Energy were amazing from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble from the 1st phone call to completion. Information was very helpful being a 1st time Solar installation.If you are thinking of getting Solar call these guys, you won't be sorry.

Professional, good communication, good technical solution.
Was the only quotation that didn’t involve a site visit however the installer did ask the right questions to establish relevant and unusual features of the site. This resulted in the best technical solution offered by any of the installers.The price was also reasonable and lower than some others.

Great Service and Quality

Don't know yet, Installed but not commissioned
- Quoting, descriptions of possible units, options and manufactures etc was good.- Installation was excellent, on time, tidy etc
- Installer did show me a few things about the Inverter, etc. via his Mobile Phone. But we could not get the Inverter to connect to my WiFi. He says I will need to get a WiFi booster. I asked if they can hard wire the Inverter to my Optus Router, and they did not want to to that. So after they left I went and bought a Wi Fi extender, which I hope I can place somewhere inside the house but closer to the outside inverter. The installer said that when the inspection is done and the Inverter is allowed to be turned ON, he will come back and help me connect the WiFi.
- As far as Grid Connection is concerned, I was told that the inspection has to happen first, (I was told it can take up to 10 days) and I assume the inspector or the installer will inform the Distribution Company (so they can remotely re-program the meter), and then I assume either I have to inform my Retailer or they will.

Quality installer
Finally had our solar system installed by Island Energy in March 2024. They were very patient while we prepared the site for the install.Mark Cleverley did a site inspection and quote and answered 90% of our questions before we asked them.
We explained our expectations of the solar system and Mark designed one we were happy with.
We decided to go with a 13.2kw solar system with 13.5kw Tesla battery.
He was very accommodating and happy to go that bit extra which convinced us to go with Island Energy.
Andrew Male & 3 young chaps from ESI Solutions did the install, the only stipulation we had was the install had to be level, square and balanced to look at and that’s exactly what we got. The attached photos say it all.
Mark was more than happy to have Andrew fit a new sub board we supplied as we needed to upgrade the existing damaged board.
We also had a heat pump HWS installed.
I work from home and use high power consumption equipment. We’ve gone from a 45 to 60kw a day winter usage to 2.5 to 5kw maximum per day and couldn’t be happier.
We’re very happy we went with Island Energy as they were very helpful and conducted themselves very professionally and highly recommend them for your solar requirements.
Our only regret is that we didn’t decide to install solar sooner.

Free Electricity
I’ve engaged Island Energy in San Remo for the install of a 13.2kw system with Tesla 13.2kw battery on 1 of the 2 phases.The solar system powers both phases but the battery can only be installed onto one of them.
This was explained in great detail and we have worked out what we will have on the 1st phase that the battery will power up of a night.
Island energy will also be changing out my 400L twin element electric hot water to a 305L heat exchange system.
When you calculate the cost to run the old one it is a no brainer that the purchase and run costs of the new one is a far better option.
I was upgrading my sub board from 24 pole to 32 pole and Mark at Island energy has agreed to have his guys fit the new sub board I’m supplying at no extra charge.
The hot water isn’t your straight change over, the new one will be outside and there is extensive pipe work to be done but this is included in the price of the install.
Although I don’t have the system installed yet, I’m not far off being ready for the guys to come past and do it. Pre Christmas install is on the cards, the guys are waiting on me.
I have been reassured the install will be of the quality I have stated and expecting.
I’m confident that Island energy in San Remo will do an install above my expectations. I will post pics at a later date when the install is complete.

Guys arrived on time and were polite and respectful. Job was completed in a neat and tidy fashion, with no mess.
Everything good, just waiting for final inspection which is pending. Connection to the grid will follow after that.02 May 2023

I found the whole experience really good. From Julie visiting the following day after my inquiry through to getting the quote and follow up phone call, then the installation which was finished very quickly, the guys cleaned up as they were going and they were really helpful and friendly. My new solar in Cowes, Victoria
Made the process easy and they informed me I have 3 phase and upgraded the SMA inverter. Very happy so far.8 months later we asked Paul: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Hi,winter feed in is pretty low here but in the summer it paid its way. Victoria has dropped the feed in tarrif to 6.7 cents so system will take longer to pay for itself I suppose but have recently changed to a retailer with lower rates so probably will balance out. No problem with panels and the inverter is a 3 phase 6kw model that doesn't miss abeat sofar.

Great Solar Install
The sales quote was very punctual, they arrived the day after the initial contact call was made, viewed the power bill and were very informative on what we would save and the total cost of the system. The sales person was well versed in all details regarding solar.Because they were to busy to do the install in december they kept the price at 2019 level with the rebate at 2019 level.The install was done as their first job for 2020, they arrived at 0800 and it was completed by their own staff by 3pm all up and working.The installers were polite ,informative and very tidy there was no mess left behind.I was very impressed with the customer service,the staff knew what they were doing and nothing was too much trouble. They organised the grid connection and informed us of all that was required to get connected to the grid.I very impressed with the service and would recomend this company to anyone wishing to have Solar installed.

Island Energy went through different options, looked at our usage and offered a high end system that perfectly matched our needs at a competitive price.Install was fairly painless, with great communication about progress and alterations during the job.
They were the only ones that mentioned grinding of roof tiles for mounting the panels.
We now have a 8.2 KW Fronius inverter with 27 Longi 300 W panels. Including smart metering.
At peak, we are generating 7.5 KW
I can highly recommend Island Energy - Noosa!

Yes, definitely!We save between $400 and $500 per quarter on power bills.

We are still waiting for the system to be inspected and made operational.Everything else has gone very well and the company have been very professional and they appear to be very knowledgeable about their products.

The system has done what we expected and the after sales service from our installers has been great. They have followed up on an issue that we had and all seems to be resolved. Very happy so far with the system25 March 2019
Great company, did everything they said they would. Excellent installers, polite, professional and on time. System has been producing around 23kw per day since we installed it. Very happy.

We were a high user of electricity and so far our bill went from $1500 to $400 for the spring quarter and from $995 to $99 in the summer.15 January 2019

I am unable to rate the value for money becauseofthe one quote, but I have been interested in Solar for many years. I had a figure in mind and the quote was well under what I expected. The "sales pitch" was really a conversation. The tricky question of " have you had many complaints"? The answer was honest and straightf forward. As for potential savings, it is too early to say. It's only been five weeks and we are still not putting power into the grid. (power companys). But we have been using the power we generate to do our washing cleaning etc. The next account will show how much we can expect to save in the future.

Jims provides quotes on three different types of panels and inverters early and were very thorough. We waited quite some time for the additional quotes which raised some concerns re follow up service. We have not yet had the system installed so further feedback cannot be provided at this time.

The salesperson/owner was extremely helpful in advising me of how the product

I have had pre wiring done as house is not ready yet for installation.
This was a local company who came out and met me at the house.

Island Energy was very prompt in responding to the request for a quote. The explanations about installation and the process to register for the feed-in tariff etc., were clear. They organised delivery of the components over the Christmas/New Year break and installation was in early January. There have been no problems with the equipment and it all works as advertised.
