Outstanding professional service and workmanship on 45-degree pitched terra-cotta tiled roof!
Outstanding professional service and workmanship. Very impressed with HOTT Electrics as a solar and full electrical panel installer. The HOTT Electrics team did an amazing 18.48kW installation on a challenging 45-degree pitched terra-cotta tiled roof. James provided expert knowledge, advice, competive pricing and excellent value propositions. The quality of the installation has exceeded our expectations.Thank you HOTT Electrics - well done :)

A Great Solar Augmentation from a Great Installer
Recently contracted HOTT Electrics to augment our existing seven year old 4.9kW, Fronius/Trina installation. Their’s was one of four quotes obtained, and involved onsite inspection and discussion with the actual installer as opposed to remote/unseen estimates from the other three. Answers to all our many questions with respect to this installation (including the complete upgrade of our old asbestos-backed switchboard which also became necessary) were readily provided and explained, as were system design suggestions/options to best suit our particular needs and situation. All work was carried out by a very courteous, punctual, well-presented and totally professional crew, who were a credit to the business. There has also been prompt follow-ups in relation to metering and system performance. The augmentation involved adding another separate string comprised of a Sungrow SH5.0RS hybrid inverter, Trina Vertex S+ 440w panels (1.76kW) with additional cabling for future expansion and a Sungrow SBR096 battery. Total system size now 6.66kW. Everything is working to specification and we are especially pleased with amount of visibility we now have of our power utilisation, that monitoring for all PV (both old and new) is handled efficiently by a single Sungrow app, having a backup capability and a future-proofed outcome. Grid connection and all other grid-related issues were dealt with by the installer.P.S. HOTT's belief in retaining and simply augmenting our existing system was an unprompted confirmation of a similar recommendation provided in prior exchanges we had with Anthony and Kim of SoarQuotes!

Yes it has, my last 3 monthly bill was only $26.5608 December 2023
Designed to my wants and needs. Not trying to sell a volume product
James was the only one to visit my home to get my specific wants and needs which I valued highly.The install was done neatly and needed a second day to finish off the software config on the battery and inverter.
While not the cheapest the brands used and work done were of good quality.

Excellent service from start to finish
The whole experience was outstanding. Clear information, great advice, knew about other requirements including roof tiles and removal of old aerial. Installation guys were excellent and post installation follow up was very useful too.Panel rating: 5/5

Fantasic service and honest pricing
Quote process was outstanding. Sales person did some videos to explain the process and costs and provided a number of options. The installation team were prompt and did exactly what they said they would do. HOTT Electrics - Great guys to deal with!
Scott and the team at HOTT Electrics did a fantastic job installing my solar. Really nice down to earth guys and easy to deal with in all aspects. James and Scott spent a lot of time with me on the design and quoting, and explained all aspects of the system and the installation clearly. Many other strictly solar companies sent out sales reps that weren't able to answer all my detailed questions on the installation and electrical work that was needed.Their installation was very neat and tidy, and worked with me to accommodate where I wanted everything mounted and where/how the cabling was to be run throughout the house. Highly recommended.

G’day Fin, it’s hard to know how the system is compared to another . I’ll know better when the next Electricity bill comes. The system is working fine ,but with the changes in Electricity prices we have to wait and see.03 August 2023
Excellent local Illawarra and Southern Highlands electrical contractors
Scott and his crew were top notch for three electrical upgrades to put home in the northern suburbs of Wollongong. The on site inspections of our needs and the suggestions made and the quoting process, we’re professional and easy to understand. Their explanations of the benefit of quality solar panels, what to expect from the electric retailers and way to extract maximum benefit were clear and easy to follow. They were the best of our three quotes by a clear margin.The installation of our solar panels, heat pump hot water system and split system air conditioner were just fine. Minimal disruption, no fuss and clear advice on how to use our new systems to best advantage were clear and very useful. They even moved the passive heating system for our pool, to the other side of the house, so that the solar panels were most effective. Impressive.
They organised our connection to the grid with us and helped us to get a better deal from our supplier. After work service has been good too.
So we are happy campers and would commend Hott Electrics to anyone seeking quality electrical contractors.

Very confident in choosing Hott Electics to install our Solar Panels
It was great to talk face to face and not a sales rep on the phone, Hott Electrics customer service was professional and informative, their installation team were punctual, polite and tidy, they even replaced an existing broken tile which was extremely appreciated by us. Above all, they are a local company and we feel very confident that should any problems arise in the future we will be able to contact them to have it resolved.01 August 2023

Great Customer Service & Product
Scott and his team from Hoot have been doing all our electrical instillation on our new house after the handover 5yrs ago. So it was a no brainer to get them to quote on a battery system and extra panels when we decided to finally go down that path. Scott's go to man for solar is Sam, and his customer service and knowledge of such sytems is second to none.Once we decided on the correct system to buddy up on our current solar and a price was agreed on and the deposit paid we had the team at our place 10 days later.
The culture that Scott has in place with his team is very evident. The boys were there first thing in the morning and by 4pm the job was complete. This also included adding some extra electrical items for outside and the main bathroom.
Unfortunaly through no fault of their own, a software issue meant that they had to return the next day to carry out a Blackout procedure to test the sytem. But apart fromn that it went as smoothly as clockwork. The new battery and extra panels are working perfectly as well as the other items installed. I highly recommend HOOT for all electrical work and solar instillation.

Great installation with great customer service
HOTT electrics is not just a solar installer, they are master electricians who are knowledgeable and professional. They give you opinions about how to maximize your panel efficiency when designing your system. They also respond to you very quickly if you have any questions. In short, the whole installation process was smooth and pleasant.

Installed my new solar system amongst other electrical work. Solar Experts , very knowledgeable and a great team to work with. Would rather go with a trusted local electrician where my warranty wont disappear a couple years later unlike the 'marketed' solar companies out there. Very happy with the whole process, Was informative and Honest, was happy to recommend on my needs and not over sell. Very efficient and punctual with keeping to Install date, above and beyond customer service, even helped with our own wi-fi issue that wasn't their problem, and done all the forms and paperwork for grid connection on my behalf.
