Excellent all round Service

Sales/quoting process was quick, detailed, comprehensive and friendly with factual responses to questions. All necessary documentation was lodged with the power company prior to the installation by Goliath Solar.
The installation followed within a week of accepting the quote with the team arriving on time. After a brief discussion about location of the devices, the team was straight into it, removing the existing solar system and completing the installation within the scheduled time. All debris and the old system was taken away and the work site swept. Before leaving, one of the team downloaded the monitoring app onto my PC and showed me how to use it.
A follow up email from the company extended an invitation to enquire any time with questions.
I had no complains with any aspect of the installation.

Peace of mind

The reviews don’t lie, Goliath were a pleasure to deal with and made the process an easy one.
Made initial contact with Ben and he is great. Very friendly, honest and knowledgeable.

Easy from start to finish

Ben from Goliath was helpful, informative and not at all pushy. The scheduled phone call to discuss options and prices with him was great. It really helped me to decide the system size and brand of panels/inverter. I originally wanted a battery installed but, after discussing it with Ben, we decided to wait to see if I really need it.

I then researched those panel/inverter options on SolarQuotes to fine tune my decision.

Ben helped me every step of the way. He organised the installation around my time frame and ensured that everything went smoothly. The workers were polite, friendly and did a great job. They set up the app on my phone and made sure everything was working well before they left.

A couple of days later Ben phoned me to explain the features of the app and answer all of my questions. He explained options for feed-in tariffs with different energy providers, and that if I do decide to have a battery installed at a later date then my Fronius inverter can easily have a software update to accommodate that.

A very pleasant experience, with a massively positive outcome! I am very happy with the amount of energy my system is providing, and wouldn't change a thing. ?

(My 13.2kw system with 10kw inverter generates a maximum of 10.24kw on sunny days)

Brilliant service and installation

Very highly recommended.
From start to finish they were very professional and caring. It’s nice to see a local company genuinely give a damn about the service they provide.

They install great equipment (panels, inverters) so you don’t have to worry about getting inferior products that don’t do the job.

And they keep the service going after the install with any thing you need.

Good work from Goliath Solar 7 Electrical

The whole process was pretty easy, they knew what needed to be done and where very helpful over the phone. There was lots to be done, complete circuit board upgrade, smart meter installation, 15 additional solar panels & inverter and Tesla Battery installed all done in a day, very good I thought. They were very good, they kept me informed with the lead up and what to expect and after installation how it all all works together etc., the staff were great plenty of information to digest. I'm a returning customer, Goliath installed a Solar Edge System back in 2016 and they were good back then so I can certainly recommend them.

Great experience all round

Tom and the team were great to deal with from the very beginning. The explanations provided at the start for a newbie were very informative, the continued communication throughout the process kept us up to date, and something that cannot be said for most businesses, they do things when they say they're going to do it.

Tom was referred to me by a friend and I would happily refer his business onto others. Even if the cost through Goliath was higher, I would still select them based on the positive experience.

Great installer - very happy

The whole team at Goliath have been amazing. Customer service from Daniel has been exceptional, he explained everything in detail, install was quick (under 2 weeks from paying deposit) and the team were friendly and professional and tidied everything up. Goliath were the only place that I got quotes from that designed a system that took advantage of the morning sun and avoided shade as much as possible from the large tree out the front of the house. They are going to monitor the systems production and our usage over the next few weeks and make energy plan recommendations that suit our requirements.

Ben was amazing in facilitating the plan, presenting multiple options, and Goliath did an incredible job on the day of doing a clean, quick install, and explaining how it all worked. This is my 2nd house I've had solar installed on with Goliath, and I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

Thorough and communicative company

Goliath discussed and understood our needs, explaining clearly what they could do under SAPN rules. Their quotation was the best of three we received, and they were able to install much sooner than we expected. Removal of the old system and its replacement with a much larger panel array and inverter went smoothly and the electricians were careful to tidy up the inevitable debris from such a large job. At all times, the lead electrician explained what he was doing and also showed me how to use the inverter app once the installation was completed. The follow-up service that tracks system performance for a few weeks after installation is thorough and I've been very pleased with the results. I can strongly recommend Goliath for solar system renovation and installation work.

The only installer I’d trust

I went through and got 10 different quotes from 10 different installers and I had three different types of experiences.

The first was someone who would overpromise and didn’t want to know anything about my property. That was always keen on getting my money and would call me days in a row telling me about deals and nagging me.

The second was someone who refused to give me any information about quotes or anything without sitting down in my house for three hours and trying to make the sale of the century in my living room.

And the last was Goliath Solar. They were transparent. They were clear. They told me what to expect. They gave me more information that I’d asked for, telling me exactly what it would cost upfront.

In my opinion there’s no one else. Goliath was the only one who wasn’t trying to oversell me or undersell me. They were the only one being transparent so I would recommend them 11 out of 10.

You won’t be left wanting.

Complete process was fantastic

Started sometime ago as it was a new build. Went with this local company (recommended by friends) as the installers are staff and not contractors. They are very company and client focussed from the quote - all the way through. Kept me updated as to what was going on day to day. When it came to the installation - what looked like an issue they identified and rang straight away easily resolved. (wish the builder was as accommodating). The installers did a fab job no bits of crap left behind and nice work to boot with the finished product - the installers obviously take pride in their work. After the install the run through by Tom was comprehensive and very patient with me (I'm a dinosaur). Happy to pay the extra for a quality product.

Great experience

We worked with Ben at Goliath to get an old solar system off our roof and a new one installed. Ben was knowledgeable, transparent, and very helpful. At no stage did I feel pressured to spend more or buy bigger -- he was happy to help us find the system that would work for our needs and our budget. A highly capable and competent installer

The sales and quote process was seamless. All the information I required was provided and questions were answered quickly and properly.

There was no push for sales, or pay deposit “today” to secure an extra special discounted rate which is rare (sadly) in this industry.

I was kept informed of the day of installation which worked around my availability. The team came on time and did the work safely, and professionally and tidied up all mess (including removal of old system). Handover was a breeze and after sales Q&A were provided by the lead consultant and the company.

I have no hesitation in recommending Goliath Solar to anyone. Whilst their price was not the cheapest (it was not the most expensive either), it was commensurate with the level of service and professionalism received.

13.2kw PV system using 10kV Fronius Gen24 and Canadian Solar panels - in Adelaide, South Australia

Very professional sales and quoting, timely responses and factual information provided. Not pushy at all.

Installers (4 on the day) removed old system and installed new system very efficiently. It was a big day (early start and late finish). They tidied up afterwards and handover was a breeze.

All paperwork organised by themselves and even the payment system was automatic (online) with e-receipts. Very professional.

Great after sales support (had an issue with the app not updating and it was due to needing new firmware on the inverter so was walked through how to do that). Once updated, all good.

Quality work and great troubleshooting

Quoting was realistic to my end price, which was cheaper than quoted with panels coming down over the 13 months between pre-wiring and install. Company staff were happy to patiently answer my very many questions. I had multiple phone calls and emails with them as they patiently worked through different options with me.

Prewiring and panel installation were both on time - fast and clean. The crews were hardworking and polite.

CUSTOMER SERVICE was outstanding. I had a tricky set of inverter errors that were eventually pinned down to the AC isolator switch. Staff worked above and beyond to get the system running properly.

Installation of a 26.4kw solar system on SA Sea Rescue Head Quarters

Goliath offered a system equal or better that other companies, and after negotiation, the best price of comparable quotes.

The installation was quick after order. The supply of information re Goliath licenses, insurances and JSA for the site was prompt and adequate.

The system was installed, tested, commissioned and handed over working with all paper work done.

After installation the Goliath representative responded to our invitation to come to the Squadron site and explain the workings of the system to representatives of the Squadron, which was appreciated.

Great Service.

Arranged 4 quotes from quality installers, Ben's approach to my questions and needs were exactly what I was after. Recommended systems from previous satisfied customers and gave two options to consider. Best of all the price given was thousands cheaper using better equipment, than I was quoted on from other "top class" installers.
Jordan, the installer was on time and went through the install and the system when completed. Install was most professional and site left cleaner than when they arrived.
Follow up after install from Ben to make sure everything was good and that I fully understood the system, and went through the App and future power suppliers to consider moving forward.
Shop around, but you wont find a better team than Goliath.

Fantastic from start to finish.

Initial quote phase with Ben was very friendly, clear and professional. Not trying to push a sale or a particular system. Happy to openly discuss the pros/cons of Canadian Solar v REC panels, inverter location, among other factors in the install.

Quick turnaround once deposit and go ahead given. My wife was home during install, she was very pleased. They were very professional and polite & everything went very smoothly. I came home at completion and was very happy - even a seemingly minor detail - trefalyte labels in the switchboard and isolator switch. As a tradie myself, this was just icing on the cake and showed their care and attention to detail.

Communication and documentation from start to finish was first class. From initial design documents with projected numbers, submissions to authorities for system approval, grid connection, smart meter change, certification, manual etc all taken care of with no issues/work at our end. Brilliant.

A week in, the system works beautifully. Our house probably has the perfect layout for solar. All north facing, no shade, unobstructed, the inverter tops out at ~8.12kW generating ~60kWh on a sunny winters day. I think even Ben was slightly surprised at the numbers and exceeded their estimates.

All in all, couldn't recommend higher. Not at all surprised with their high customer satisfaction and 'Legendary' status on SolarQuotes. Worth every cent.

Great experience dealing with this company in every way.

From the minute of my initial enquiry, there was no pressure what so ever and the information given was exactly what I wanted. Nothing was too much trouble.
After accepting the quote I was informed about every step of the process ahead of time and the communication was excellent.
On installation day the tradesmen that turned up were extremely respectful, polite, helpful, knowledgeable, very efficient and so tidy! A lot of tradesmen could learn valuable lessons from the Goliath crew.
The customer service received has been awesome, both pre and post installation. They don't just sell, install and take your money, the after sales service has been outstanding. Goliath spend time to explain everything about the unit, how to use it, download and explain the app, follow up to make sure your energy provider has connected the unit up correctly and it's all working as it should.
Goliath came to me via recommendations from 2 of their customers who I know, I will most certainly be recommending them at any opportunity in the future.

Excellent service from start to finish.

I recently decided to take the leap and investigate the minefield that is Solar! After doing some homework, I contacted Goliath Solar and I must say, I’m glad that I did.

Having contacted Goliath, I had the pleasure of dealing with Ben Gordon who was able to explain the pros and cons of different solar packages and assist me in tailoring a package that was suitable for my current and future needs.

Ben made the whole experience from the initial contact to the final handover really straight forward. I was advised and kept up to date when site visits would be conducted and when the solar would be installed, incidentally; everything was installed, up and running within two weeks of initial contact.

One of the reasons I initially contacted Goliath is because of the reputable manufacturers they use for their panels and convertors. Like everything, you expect to pay more for a quality product; however, I was pleasantly surprised at the cost which came in below my budget. The quote also took into consideration the Solar State rebate which Ben organised on my behalf.

Goliath also promote a high level of customer aftercare as Ben encouraged me to contact him directly should I have any future concerns or queries.

If you’re thinking about Solar, then do yourself a favour and contact Goliath, they won’t try and sell you unnecessary products, they are extremely efficient, very competitive with regards to pricing, provide good quality products and are very easy to deal with.
