Central Solar Systems is a solar energy company based in Bundall, Queensland. The company says that they are a total family owned and operated business that has been providing solar solutions for 30 years. The company says that they are CEC accredited and are members of Queensland Master Builders Assn and Master Plumbers Assn of Queensland. Central Solar Systems says that it can provide a system for almost every budget. They say that most of the components are supported in Australia by manufacturer owned companies, so the warranties are solid.

" The inverter was put so far up the wall that I had to get a ladder to read the digital info!! This should be rectified this coming weekend. I am still waiting for the website info so I can download onto my laptop to keep a record of how the system is working. The handbook is very poorly written and not user friendly. There was very little handover info on completion of the job. I've been on my laptop for three months deciding on a system and then at the last moment I stumbled in sight of the line!! Most quoters were not willing to either provide a price or supply the panels that we required, choosing instead fully imported panels and inverters that in our opinion do not offer appropriate on shore back-up."

Returning customer to a First class Installer
This is the 3rd system I have had installed by Ray from Central Solar systems. I find Rays knowledge as an Electrical Engineer shone through from the other 6 suppliers I contacted for quotes. One gave me a quote over the phone, one used a zoom call with only 5 coming to site. Of those 5 only 2 went on the roof for a look at the area I wanted the panels installed. Ray's attention to detail and his knowledge of local regulations had him one of only 2 of the companies picking up changes needed in my meter box to bring it up to current standards. 5 of the quotes would have resulted in changes needed once the installation started and with this extra expense. A number of the systems wouldn't have fit in the space I wanted the system installed in and this would have resulted in a smaller system or one which was installed illegally. Ray allowed space for future maintenance and cleaning and made sure the system fitted into the area based on current rules. Once installed he also monitors the system, follows up with software updates and suggests electrical suppliers once he has a better idea on how your system in performing. His installers were friendly, on time, neat and took the time to explain to me the geeky stuff an fellow electrician like me needed. Highly recommended8 months later we asked Craig: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The system is working as projected and we look forward to our first full summer.31 January 2020
A regretful purchase.
Prompt quote, pleasant sales guy, but that’s where my positive feedback stops. If you’re a buyer wanting a big job and have a big budget then I’m sure they give you all the respect your ego desires. To the lesser jobs and smaller budgets you get the sales guy. You also get poor service, no responses to communication, handballed to the sales guy, and no follow up after they’ve got your money. Still waiting for the wifi setup, the documentation for the body corp and power supplier recommendation after recent update as promised ... and as per the fabulous representations from those with big systems who do get the companies attention. Sales guy is sold as being wonderful and local and and all round good guy. I however have the opposite experience and absolutely regret my purchase. Since this regrettable purchase, that I was assured was a great system at a reasonable price, I find I could have received 50% more panels and a 5kW system for the same price as the 13 panels and 3kW system Central Solar installed. Disappointing and entirely regrettable purchase.28 May 2019
Incredibly tidy installation
We cannot fault Central Solar Systems - Ray Cooper and his installers. Ray drove from the Gold Coast to meet with me and to discuss our requirements. He was easy to understand and was not simply a salesman. Ray talked through various options as well as energy providers. The installers did a fabulous job. They were professional, the panels look fantastic and they did not leave a mess. Ray came the next day to help us with monitoring system and has offered to answer any questions in the future. Any info that I needed was always available by email or phone.Installation was done quicker than I expected.27 months later we asked NORM: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
THE SYSTEM HAS PERFORMED AS EXPECTED.THE DOWNSIDE IS THAT ON NON SUNNY DAYS YOU DON'T PRODUCE MUCH ELECTRICITY WHICH IS NATURAL.IF I HAD MY TIME AGAIN,I WOULD HAVE GOT A BIGGER INSTALLATION.I WOULD RECOMEND FOR A 3-4 SIZE FAMILY,THEY GET ATLEAST 12-16 SOLAR PANELS WITH A MINIMUM 2-3KW INVERTER.ANYTHING LESS IS NOT COST EFFECTIVE.
THE GOVERNMENT IS CHANGING THE RULES ALL THE TIME AND UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE THERE FOR ATLEAST 10 YEARS,IT IS NOT COST EFFECTIVE.IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE THERE FOR 10 YEARS,GET THE BIGGEST YOU CAN AFFORD.

Great service and advice.
Ray and his team were amazing to deal with. Ray's knowledge regarding systems and the maximisation of output is incredible, and he explains how it all works in a way that someone with no knowledge can understand. His after installation care was also great - our system had an update which knocked it offline briefly, and Ray came out before we had even noticed and checked it out to make sure it was all up and running again. His team (Stu and Ben) are fantastic. Their professionalism is second to none and the work they did was excellent. Communication was great - we always knew when they were coming and they would turn up when they said they would.We are extremely happy with our system and the amount of power it is pumping out to us, and back to the grid. Even with children that are, quite frankly, energy suckers, we are still generating more than enough through our solar panels and storing in our batteries to keep us going throughout the day and night without pulling off the grid.
It is rare to find a company that does exactly what they say they will do, and not only do so but go beyond. Having dealt with other solar companies in the past at previous residences that were a bit hit and miss, we can't recommend Central Solar Systems highly enough.
