Steer clear of this company

Array Energy installed a 6Kw solar system 4 years ago. the system was performing poorly, some panels showed discolouration. My, since than, deceased wife rang on a number of occasions without response, she than contacted a local solar installer to check the system, they discovered that beside discolouration of some panels, one string (half the panels) was unplugged.

No one has been back to check the system or touched it after the original install. Since the company left after dark they could not have checked the output of the system. They deny all responsibility. Since the second string has been connected our output has more than doubled. I anticipate a loss of about $4000 over the 4 years of installation. I cannot rate less than one star which is more than they deserve.

Do not use this company

The system installation was done compliant and dangerous - no isolation valves or earthing installed. The inverter failed after 6 months. Have left several phone messages, texts and email but no responses to any of them. I am currently following up with the Regulator to have this company investigated and to ensure no one else has the same experience. They need to have their licence cancelled!

Great at sales and quoting but a take your money and run company with no after care what so ever

Sales and quoting process was fantastic and the installation process was equally as good. However, once installed and money taken there has been absolutely no service what so ever. The system has been a nightmare and not worked since day one and after many attempts at making contact no-one responds or wants anything to do with after care or to deal with issues. A take your money and run business with no after service at all

Warranty, Answered initial call and no further contact.

4.5 years ago, Array Energy were set up in Greenhills Shopping Centre in East Maitland NSW. I was interested and decided to get a quote. They were excellent. But now my B&B inverter is not working. So I contacted the director Campbell Medcalf and he said he would get someone to call me. Over the next 14 days I rang with no answer and sent 2 emails, one with photos of the inverter displays. And Campbell would not return emails or phone calls. So now I have complained to fair trading. I have read other reviews and most are of the same nature to mine. I suggest not using Array Energy as they don't honour warranty.

If you have any issues with you system after its installed, they will just ignore you.
Having to now go to Fair Trading to try and get my system repaired under warranty.

3 Years ago when this solar installation was completed we were using a brand of inverter that was generally reliable that had an independent Australian Warranty.
Unfortunately, the company that was servicing the warranty went into receivership last year and we are having to cover the cost of replacing these inverters ourselves.
We have offered the client a replacement inverter however in this situation we don't believe the inverter is at fault and that there is another electrical issue.
We must apologise for the delay in responding to our client as it took us some time to ascertain the situation with original service agent.

They installed the system within 10 days of signing up, everything is working fine, they did a good job with installing, the panels, and installing the meter with essential energy was extra.

We were going overseas 6 days from signing contract. Install was scheduled for before our departure but weather intervened, however, the inverter was installed and the 14 panels went up while we were away.
