The difference with AG Solar is that our business began with two local qualified electricians, Trent and Daniel, having a passion for renewable energy. They wanted people to receive reliable information without sales tactics in an ever-changing space, which has now become essential for everyone with a home or business. The need for this honest information, quality products and high level of customer service in their local area led them to teaming up to form AG Solar.
 
In renewable energy there is consistently new technology and research so we think it is important to be passionate about the industry and always learning new information for our customers. We want to be able to inform our customers about any needs they may have including electric vehicles/charging and solar battery storage. We think if we stay at the forefront of the industry our customers will reap the rewards and won’t be supplied with outdated information and products. 

 

AG Solar value customer service and will ensure the process is straightforward, which begins with directly speaking to either Trent, Daniel or trained in-house employees. You will also have one of our four electrical in-house teams do your installation, not just any contractor that arrives. With over 20 years combined Solar experience we can design and install the perfect system for your individual requirements.

Great company, reliable and helpful

The sales person was very helpful in adapting the quote for the best system for us. Installation was good, though we were surprised when the scaffolding company turned up very early the day before without warning. The inverter app is not straight forward and we will need more help with it. I trust that they will provide it!

From start to finish a great experience.

I've been umming and ahhing about solar for a few years and decided to get more information. I used Solar Quotes to get three quotes from certified installers in my area and landed on AG Solar.
I dealt with Rhys at AG Solar. He was patient with my questions and provided a good line of communication from quote to deposit.

Before even pulling the trigger, they worked within my budget and made excellent product recommendations (which I separately verified) and I was so happy with the feedback.

Once the deposit was paid, my installation was booked within the week. The installers were great and professional. They took great care of the installation and ensured it was clean (no visible conduit, cabling, or labelling). I'll definitely recommend their services to friends and family and use them again.

Regarding the system's performance, I'm only one day into using it, so it's too soon to tell, but it's already outperforming my expectations.

Knowledge Staff, Efficient Installation, Great Customer Service

We recently had a fantastic experience working with AG Solar to install a solar panel system on our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and incredibly efficient.

The team at AG Solar provided exceptional customer service. They were responsive, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions. The initial consultation was thorough, and they provided a clear explanation of how solar panels work, the installation process, and the best system for our home and requirements.

The installation process was seamless. The crew arrived on time, were courteous, and worked diligently to ensure everything was installed correctly. The attention to detail was impressive, and they left everything clean and tidy. The solar panels themselves are high-quality and have been performing exceptionally well. We've already noticed a decrease in our energy bills.

After the installation, we connected AG Solar as there was a an issue with the connection of the solar panels to our app. They solved the problem quickly, and followed up to ensure everything was running smoothly and offered additional support if needed.

Excellent product and quality install!

AG Solar was fantastic to deal with. Trent initially provided a quote including a free cover for the Fronius inverter. They installed as promised on the date as had to co-ordinate with the roof painter. Tidy install and cleaned up after. The handled all the paperwork and organised the grid connection.

Jye, Lily and Amy were also very responsive before, during and after the whole process. Thank you team!

I tried many installers for a quote. A G Solar gave a simple complete quote covering my needs after a call to confirm what was required. Install date was decided and old system removed and replaced in the same day. Installers all polite and happy to explain what they were doing.by the end of the day all was installed and functioning. With in next 2 days web access was running and a week later meters were being updated. All a simple and positive experience.

Reliable and efficient, friendly and responsive. Excellent Warranties.

We chose AG Solar after an extensive search, with the main deciding factors being panel and inverter quality and performance, and long warranties for these and the installation. Another aspect we liked was that they directly employ all their staff rather than contractors, which is rather unusual.

The quoting process was simple, fast, and accurate, resulting in panel placement optimised for our complex roofs. There were no hidden costs, fees, or charges, and they arranged the government rebates seamlessly.

Even though they are located about 50km away, they arranged two fast and efficient installations, the first being 26 panels, the second an additional 16.

Throughout all of our interactions all their people have been polite, knowledgeable and flexible, with perhaps the most pleasing being reliability. They always arrived when promised, and always completed the work as requested and planned.

Each installation concluded with grid connection, thorough testing and familiarisation and handover to us, demonstrating the various features of the system.

I recommend this organisation and its people very strongly.

Great service, quality install.

We are very happy with AG Solar. They were quick to respond to the request for a quote and kept us informed the whole way through. We got a great quality 10.125kw system with SunPower panels and Fronius inverter. The install was quick, on time and the guys were very tidy. The black panels look great too!

Flawless and pain-free solar. Great team, professional and courteous.

AG Solar have just installed a Sunpower solar system and Fronius EV charger. The whole experience has been flawless, from a very reasonable and very clear quote and explanation, to a prompt and pain-free installation and now a great, well functioning system with easy remote control and monitoring. Super Easy and Responsive

AG Solar made the process of getting solar installed a breeze from being to end. Their quote was easy to understand, they followed it up, they came and checked out what was a tricky site and they installed as promised on the date we set. Other solar providers found the site too difficult and basically gave up. That included some large electricity providers. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic customer service and overall experience

I was referred to AG Solar by a friend who had used them and from first contact the process was smooth and professional. We needed to make some changes to the original quote which was not a problem for AG Solar. The installers turned up when they said they would and worked to the time frame they advised. We had an issue after about 18 months that was resolved quicker than I expected so I am very happy with the product and service we received.

Not real happy with the install.

The sales/quoting process was good and was far better than the installation experience.

The guys installing the panels did a pretty average job and that's being kind. Issues were as follows:
1-There wasn't room for the 20 panels that were quoted for on the west and east facing roof areas so they installed panel 20 facing south. This panel produces hardly any power and I would have preferred having the option of not installing it.
2- The rails for the 3 panels on the garage roof was about 10 cm short. Installers added a short extension piece which distorted when the clamps for the solar panels were tightened which meant that the edge of the solar panel closest to the edge of the roof where the maximum wind load is was not attached at all.
3- The panels weren't installed parallel to the roof. By this I mean that the panels were at different pitches which was very obvious from the street and looked awful. I pointed this out to the installers and I had to instruct them on how to fix this.
4- only some of the rail end caps were installed. These are the ones I could see from the street I'm not sure about other locations.
5- along the narrow section of roof the sparky decided to run conduit on top of the tiles and as such the conduit is in a place that is susceptible to damage.
6 - 2 of the installers were wandering around without shirts on and looked very unprofessional
Commissioning of the Enphase Envoy unit was all good and everything is working ok.

- After complaining to the company, he did send out 2 installers to replace the rails that were short. They didn't check any other parts of the installation though, even when I requested this.

Hi Geoff,
Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to comment on the points you have mentioned.
1. Due to the location of rafters and space between the ridge cap and available location it was best to move one panel to the South. After installing it in the south location we have agreed to refund you the cost of this panel as a gesture of good will.
2. It is standard practice to extend the rails when short rather than cutting down full 4.2m lengths. We retuned to site to add a full rail the day after the initial installation and rectify the concern prior to this review being made.
3. The installers were not finished when this point was raised on the day. We do employee a team leader CEC accredited electrician on every site and apprentices. The job of the team leader is to check the work before hand over and this point was rectified on the day of the job.
4. All rail caps were installed on the day of the installation.
5. As discussed with you regarding the narrow corridor in this location the best practice was to run the UV rated conduit surface to avoid issues lifting the tiles and flashing to potentially run the cable inside the roof. The builder on site agreed at the follow up call we had. Less roof penetrations on the roof is also a good thing.
6. We have taken your feedback regarding the shirts and will address the install teams.
We have now sent the service team back to site to confirm the installation was completed to your expectations and also sent our installation manager back to site for a second visit to confirm the installation was finished to a high standard.

I’m so impressed !!

I contacted AG Solar in July on the recommendation of my next-door-neighbour. AG Solar use their own employees (not subcontractors) for the installation work, and that influenced my decision to go with them.
We considered a few options before deciding on the micro inverters, with 10 panels on the North face, 12 on the South.
Very pleased that the installation was completed in one day, despite a midday rain delay.
Some hiccups with the 3-phase supply which shutdown the system for 3 days, but that has been the only problem so far, AG Solar’s response was immediate.
AG Solar should be quite pleased with the way that their team work so conscientiously to achieve client satisfaction. I’m very impressed..

Best Solar Company

I sourced a number of quotes when I intended to get a Solar system, and I found AG Solar to be the most competitive and convenient as it was all done on-line.

The installation was completed on time as agreed and the team of trades were very friendly, professional and polite. Any questions I had during the work was dealt with immediately and professionally.

Great After Care Service and Response

After the initial installation of our Solar System the solar generation/outputs were not achieving the quoted/predicted performance.

After raising these issues with AG Solar they investigated the issues with the Inverter Data, contacted the inverter manufacturer, undertook inverter resets and then attended site to trouble shoot the installation and fix the problems.

Immediately after this site visit the solar generation/outputs drastically improved and all issues were sorted out.

We felt that the after care service support could not have been any better and and we really appreciated the prompt response and rectifications.

Great Experience

Contact with the company was easy and quick. Customer service department was efficient in taking my enquiry, they had good product knowledge and the quotation was sent to me exactly when it was advised it would be available.
I had a technical enquiry on the quote and I was put through to one of the company directors who answered my question immediately.
My emails were answered on the day I sent them. When I placed the order it was Confirmed and an installation date booked.
The installation was carried out in one day, with the crew being very efficient, making an extra effort to ensure the components were hidden from view, wherever possible, which was greatly appreciated. The site was left as they had found it with all rubbish and packaging removed at the end of the day. The crew were all very friendly and knew their jobs.
All of the connection details were followed up and all necessary information and connections were made as promised.
We are very happy with the system recommended, the supply and installation and the benefits already received.

Good Quality Installation

The whole process from initial quotation to handover was completely seamless, AG Solar has got it down to a fine art. I was provided with a very clear and detailed quote. The power production that was quoted is very close to what I have been receiving these past few months.

The boys turned up on the agreed day and completed all works before the end of the day including leaving the place the way they found it.

All the electrical cabling was concealed as much as possible and the surface mounted ducting near the inverter was a clean tidy job as well.

Although I could have bought a cheaper system, you do get what you pay for. When I had a few minor teething issues, there was someone at the other end to solve the problem. I was sent an electrician and after a software update carried out by Fronius, the problem was solved.

AG Solar also completed all the necessary paperwork with my service provider.

I'd have no hesitation recommending AG Solar to anyone interested in having a solar system installed on their roof.

Couldn't have asked for more

AG Solar were amazing from start to finish. Firstly they were the only company who actually got on my roof to quote, which meant they were able to come up with a much better layout for the panels. The installers were on time and absolutely lovely to deal with. Any questions I have had since installed have been answered and I wasn't made to feel like I was putting anyone out by contacting them. They were so good my parents ended up using them a couple of weeks later and also had a great experience.

1st Class Service and Installation

Our old solar system was 15 years old and performing well below its rated energy production. After shopping around we selected AG Solar on price, customer service and we liked to support a local company wherever possible. The new system was installed on the schedule date, the technicians worked professionally and cleaned up on completion. Before leaving I was shown how to install the iSolarCloud app on my phone and complete the Bluetooth link to my new inverter.

With the high cost of electricity and the low feed-in solar tariff on offer it's important use the energy as it's being produced as much as possible. Following the first month analysing the performance data on the iSolarCloud app and consumption on our energy providers app we have now changed how and when we use our more energy hungry appliances to reduce our monthly bill.

I would also add the follow up call from AG Solar technical support checking on how the system was running and the bluetooth connectivity was very reassuring.

Top quality local provider

Great local supplier. Their advice and installation schedules can be trusted.

The installers were great on the day. They put in extra effort to ensure a quality install, including offering to mount the inverter in a more protected space and installing wiring through existing ducts, despite it being more work for them.

System has been working flawlessly since.

Great solar installation

AG Solar quoted on my rooftop solar system. They drafted the solar cell array with a best fit to current trees and the shape of the roof. They were polite and professional.
On installation, their staff delivered and installed the solar cells and the inverter on the day and the time that they stated. They were polite, and cleaned up after themselves removing any packaging from the cells or the inverter.
Their user support was friendly and capable. They helped organise the grid connection, and showed me how to handle the information available from the system.
The current system powers the daily power needs of two households from the one installation.
My only complaint is that I didn't do this sooner.

Professional, ethical, helpful and friendly who warranty the whole system. Great!

Ag Solar have been very professional, ethical, helpful and friendly throughout the whole process, from my request for a quote to post installation. There was a minor difference between panel layout plan and the actual installation, but AG Solar confirmed in writing that there would be no less output and their guaranteed overall system performance still applied.
The fact that they are a longstanding reputable local operation, who (alone among the 4 quotes I received) provided their company’s warranty not only for the installation, but also for the overall operation and performance of the Whole PV system including workmanship and products for 15 years. So far post installation, I have not had any problems and therefore no reason to contact them, which is exactly what I want and expect.

With regard to actual system performance, as yet, there has been insufficient time, since installation, to fully access system performance. However to-date there have been no problems whatsoever with hardware or software and particularly given their performance warranty, I have no concerns in that regard. I highly recommend AG Solar.

A very professional service

AG were a recommended tenderer from Solarquotes and their quote was quick, comprehensive and whilst not the cheapest I thought was the best value as I wanted a micro inverter system due to my roof configuration. My questions were quickly followed up and the quote was amended satisfactorily.

Quality Service!

Initially we were given so much conflicting advice that it made us indecisive, to the point where we did nothing. We would repeatedly search for an installer, then lose interest. Over and over, again and again as we read their reviews.

Then we looked at AGSolar. Their 5x Star rating caught our attention. Especially given that the review base was so massive. Both on SolarQuotes reviews and Google reviews. As I read through the individual reviews, I knew that this would be the company to install our Solar System.

Initially we dealt mainly with Trent Amber, who is the Director. He was very patient as he led us through the minefield that is Solar Renewable Energy. We immediately felt comfortable and decided to go with his Company.

Once we decided on a system Trent had Zac and his boys install a 16.2kw solar system with 40x 405w SunPower solar panels, 1x SunPower & 1x Fronius Inverter, 2x 10.1kwh SunPower batteries.

The transition across to Solar went through without a hitch. No complications at all. Ben has been a great help leading up to the install and has provided great after sales support as well. Together they all did such a great job.

The black solar panels and the the black rails that they sit on, really make our house look better. They are aligned so straight that they appear to be as one very sleek unit. It’s been 6 months now and the electricity cost is no longer a concern to us.

The guys were all so professional and friendly. It was a pleasure to have them at our place during the installation.

Professional job all round

My AG Solar system meets all expectations. The controller app facilitates me to stagger my household consumption so as to optimise the use of solar electricity, including charging my electric vehicle using only excess solar electricity that would otherwise be sent to the grid. Customer service was prompt and excellent in following up a couple of minor issues that arose.

Professional and helpful

AG Solar was professional throughout our quoting and installation process. They answered our questions and made alterations to our rooftop plan during the quote stage as requested, with no problems. Installation itself was smooth, a little delayed initially due to bad weather holding up their jobs, but very prompt, tidy and professional once they arrived. Great Team, Excellent installation

AG Solar made the whole process nice and easy. We had 8 other companies quote on the job and only 2 companies would even consider the job, this being because of the steep pitch of our roof.
We picked AG Solar because their quote and sales staff were both well presented, comprehensive and left us with no questions regarding the whole process.
The sales staff were very knowledgeable and there was no deviation from the quoted amount.
The installers were great, it was good to see them take their time to work out a safe action plan to tackling the steep pitch of the roof to keep everyone safe. Install was very tidy and looks fantastic. Once again post installation they left us with no questions on how the system worked and gave us a thorough rundown on the operation on the solar system and accompanying apps.
No complaints, I would defiantly recommend the AG Solar team.

AG solar - Highly recommended

How was the sales/quoting process? Great! Competitive and fair price negotiation, approachable, helpful and understanding
How did the installation go? Due to circumstances outside AG's control they were required to use a 3rd party installer. the business owner was reassuring and took carriage of any coordination. The contractor was professional and punctual, responsive and completed the job over a 2 day install period due to bad weather

Best solar system performer in Sydney and the Illawarra

AG Solar delivered a top shelf solar system to our home in Caringbah.
They provided 4 quotes based on our requirements: one based on a smaller system, another based on a slightly larger system. They also provided quotes based on payment in full or on a finance plan.
Both were very detailed with explanations on the benefits and analysis for each system.
I asked Daniel probably 20 questions and he was extremely helpful with his answers and recommendations.
Customer service was brilliant, installers punctual and very pro-active with their suggestion to slightly change the orientation of 2 panels.
I would recommend AG Solar to anyone thinking of putting solar panels on their roof.

Get a good local installer and for me that was AG Solar

Thorough research led me to choose Sunpower panels and also to choose their local supplier AG Solar

I wanted a local supplier in case of issues post installation and I wanted that local supplier to at least give me the confidence that they would be around in the future., Reviews of AG Solar, their website, and their professional quote gave me the confidence to go with them. I should note they were not the cheapest nor the most expensive quote.

Unlike some of the companies I sought quotes from, AG Solar did not hound me, and indeed it was several months before I decided to proceed.

Once I decided to proceed I was given an install date which they stuck to, their installation crew introduced themselves and were friendly and professional.

I was given instruction and manuals and also advice on how to organise the associated grid connection which was complicated as I needed to upgrade my meter. They also followed this with a call to make sure I was happy with the process etc.

Was I happy with AG Solar, yes and I have since recommended them to all my friends when they have indicated they are looking at solar.

Can't fault the experience

Sales & quotation process was relatively painless. Discussed the options and came up with a solution that matched our requirements ensuring we also didn't over-spec. Once things progressed, we received timely updates as to the installation and when the install team came out on-site they were great. Polite, clean, efficient and explained the installation process and system in detail.

Great communication and quality product

We undertook a new build and had AG Solar quote before construction began. They worked in with our builder to have our 9kw installed with no fuss or add stress for him. They came back and commissioned when was agreed and kept us in the loop through the entire process. Highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic service! Beyond happy with everything

Fantastic and seamless. Completely thorough and addressed all questions and ensured we understood. Fantastic team honestly, compared to some other companies I encountered.
Install was seamless. Booked in and arrived promptly on the day. The install team were just as fabulous as the office team. Polite, clean and thorough. Wouldn’t even knew they were there and extremely helpful. Customer service was 10/10 - solar was new to us and ag solar were beyond helpful to organise everything and ran us through how everything worked including their fantastic app!
