Sigenergy is a manufacturer of inverters, batteries and EV chargers.
Their EV charger range has two core products:
1) Conventional Sigen EVAC charger, available in 7, 11 and 22kW variants
2) SigenStor EV DC charging module, available in 12.5 and 25kW variants.
The DC module is notable because it provides true home DC charging, bypassing your EV's onboard charger and providing the nameplate charging speed. If you have a BYD Atto 3, for example, which can only charge at 7kW AC - this triples your home charging speed.
However, it must be installed as part of the SigenStor all-in-one. It's also a lot more expensive than a conventional charger, topping out at $8,600 compared to ~$2,000 for their AC product.
But when you factor in that it's also bidirectional ready, and other bidirectional chargers cost around $10,000, it works out to be great value for money.
