Trina’s Plan: Bring Two Million Solar Panels To Australia In 3 Years

Trina Solar has beefed up its channel arrangement with Aussie distributor Solar Juice, with the two outfits signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bring 1GW of Trina’s Vertex modules into Australia over three years.

One gigawatt is a million kilowatts. That’s over 2 million modern solar panels.

The MoU covers Trina Solar’s Vertex N module range for residential and commercial projects.

These include Trina’s Vertex S+ 450W-plus mono-facial solar panels for the residential market; and a 500W-plus dual-glass model suitable for residential (with large roofs) and commercial/industrial applications.

“We have been distributing Trina Solar panels since 2011, and Trina Solar has always been our panel of choice when distributing solar panels”, said Solar Juice cofounder Rami Fedda.

In February, Trina Solar won SolarQuotes’ Best Value Panels award for the third year.

One of the characteristics that the award highlighted was Trina Solar modules’ payback period, with John Lyons of JFK Electrical Solar & Air telling us:

“With Trina you’re at that price point where it doesn’t matter if you have to replace your system in 15 years, you’ve paid for it 4 or 5 times over.”

They’re also popular with retailers because their local presence provides good warranty support – most of the time.

Trina solar panel reviews from Australian owners on SolarQuotes show an excellent average score of 4.8 out of 5 based on 2,046 ratings.

Australia’s Booming Solar Market

Continued growth in solar panel demand from Australians is expected, with the Australian Energy Market Operator in their 2024 ISP predicting distributed solar capacity to grow from 21GW to 36GW by 2030.

Securing stable solar panel supply from Trina Solar, among the top 3 panel suppliers globally, is a key advantage for Solar Juice in meeting this substantial demand. This 1GW supply deal ensures access to high-quality, competitively priced Vertex series panels in Australia over the next 3 years.
