The Top-Rated Solar Installers In Canberra In 2024

Who are the top 5 solar installers in Canberra in 2024?

Methodology

I looked at all solar companies in Canberra with at least 15 reviews on SQ in the last three years and ranked them on the highest average review score.

If scores were equal, the winner goes to the company with more reviews.

Interview With This Year’s Winner – SunStak

We spoke with Richard Ko, one of the co-founders of SunStak, about why he thinks they took the top spot:

As a Platinum Enphase Installer and Tesla Powerwall Certified Premium Installer, we offer cutting-edge technology and reliable energy solutions. Our team of energy geeks loves empowering people with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their investments. Our bespoke service and consistent positive reviews highlight our dedication to customer satisfaction and genuine environmental change.

Specific Challenges With Canberra Installs?

We also asked Richard what he thought was unique about solar in Canberra:

Stringent local regulations and a strong focus on whole home electrification. The well-educated and loyal market here prioritises supporting local companies that are genuinely part of the community. We participate in programmes like the ACT Government’s Sustainable Household Scheme, offering zero-interest loans for energy-efficient upgrades, and ensuring all installations meet high regulatory standards. This approach not only addresses local demands but also fosters trust and reliability within the community.

If you’re considering solar for your home or business, my service provides up to 3 free quotes for solar, batteries, and EV chargers from installers I have personally pre-vetted and trust.

Fill in the form here, and I’ll connect you with great installers.

UPDATE: I mistakenly included Fased Solar as the third-place winner when they closed down in April – they have been removed, and ECG Electrical has been added as the fifth-place winner.

  1. Finn,

That’s a very interesting post that you’ve made considering some of the companies in your list are not even in business anymore.

Consumers should also know if this is paid and unbiased advertisement, does not seem to be.

    • Finn Peacock says

      Grumpy,

Please provide specifics of which companies you claim have gone out of business.

No-one has paid us to put up this post. No one has ever paid for a post to appear on the SQ blog.

As the post says – the list is objectively based on average ratings – not anyone’s opinion (apart from the aggregate opinion of the reviewers expressed as an average rating).

Of course – some of the companies in the list (not the winner) are also in the ~500 strong SQ installer network and pay us for sales leads as described here when people go through the Get Quotes process.

Speak Your Mind

Please keep the SolarQuotes blog constructive and useful with these 5 rules:

1. Real names are preferred - you should be happy to put your name to your comments.
2. Put down your weapons.
3. Assume positive intention.
4. If you are in the solar industry - try to get to the truth, not the sale.
5. Please stay on topic.
