Got An Eye For Detail? SolarQuotes Needs A Lead Investigator

A woman holding a magnifying glassEvery day, people come to SolarQuotes to ask for quotes for their home electrification needs: whether that’s solar panels, batteries, EV chargers or hot water heat pumps.

And just about every day, something goes a little bit wrong with those requests for quotes. That’s where our Lead Investigator & Customer Service Hero comes in.

We’re on the hunt for someone to join SolarQuotes and help us catch and fix these issues early, so homeowners can get the quotes they are after.

Our current lead investigator Katrina, who is being promoted internally, says it is a role that helps people in very direct ways.

Katrina recalls one person in her quotes request noted that she’d “had a door knocker come who had overwhelmed and pressured her into signing on the spot. She provided detail of the system and quote which was not a suitable or cost effective solution for her. I was able to provide her information on her rights (cooling off period, etc) and source a good local installer to provide her a competitive quote with a solution suitable for her needs. She was very grateful.”

Other leads have required Katrina to double-check that people have requested what they are actually after.

“I quite often have to interpret what they have asked for and ascertain if that is what they are really wanting. One example is that many leads request quotes for an on-grid solar system and then note they want to be completely off-grid. They generally do not mean that — they mean they would like a solar and battery solution that allows them independence from the grid,” she says.

“Basically, I’m the ‘read between the lines’ person!”
