About Zenaji, Solar Batteries

Zenaji solar batteries review

Zenaji is an exotic name, but the company behind this rather unique battery storage solution is Australian.

The Zenaji Aeon is a lithium titanate based battery that the company says offers better lifetime, safety, and value for money than other more commonly used lithium-ion chemistries. Zenaji are probably the only company to offer a 20 year warranty on a battery - most only offer 10 years. Zenaji claims a life of 22,000 cycles.

Each Aeon only has 1.93 KWh capacity, but an "unlimited" number of batteries can be installed in parallel.

While most home batteries take a "box" type form, the Zenaji Aeon is more like a long triangular cylinder. Because the battery is so new, we don't have a lot of information on the Aeon, but we took a bit of a closer look in this article and other specifications can be found on the SolarQuotes battery comparison table

We'd be curious to hear from any Australian owners of Zenaji Aeon systems - you can leave a review by clicking the button towards the top of this page.

Zenaji Solar Battery Reviews

I cannot speak highly enough of these batteries based on their performance and on my knowledge of their differences to other batteries on the market. I am confident they will continue to function at their best for several decades and their modular configuration means I can readily expand capacity in future as needed.

Zenaji Aeon batteries are the best

I've had my Zenaji Aeon batteries running for over 2 years now without fault. Zero observable capacity loss over that time. Highly capable batteries in terms of peak charge and discharge power. According to my Selectronic monitoring kWh in vs kWh out, they have been running at 99.6% efficient ( year to date 6 months data shows 1,337kWh in vs 1,332kWh out).

I expect these batteries will live well beyond their 20 year, 22,000 cycle warranty. Best batteries money can buy!

Amazing Battery, backs up the whole house

We recently decided to Install Solar and Home batteries. We went for premium system with long term in mind and the Aeon battery from Zenaji although being a niche Company fit perfectly into that plan, being Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO) Chemistry it has a warranty life of 20 years or 22,000 cycles. My favourite part of the system is that each module is 1.9kw so for 9.6kwh of back up we have 5 individual units so if anything happens to One of the units we still have Four more operating which means it would be extremely rare for us to lose our whole backup which can happen in units from the Bigger Brands. To make it better the battery can be cycled from 100% to 0% and back to 100% Three times everyday and still be covered by warranty. I have read some say you will never cycle it that many times but I disagree especially during Winter time here in Victoria it isn't uncommon to get cold days that are heavily overcast which make it hard to run off Solar alone and the way we work around it is by being on a Time of Use Tarrif which makes using Grid electricity alot cheap during off peak times so we Top up the batteries during those times, and with Heavy Electricity use due to electric Heating, going though 2-3 cycles of the batteries in a 24 hour period is relatively easy.

Another concern I had was the companies relatively small size and their ability to be around in 20 years in order to back up their 20 year warranty. To my pleasant surprise after speaking to the Installation and Zenajis own technicians, not only do they have 2 other products in development to go along with Current Aeon battery but the owners themselves own and still run another niche business called Involved Audio which has been around for over 30 years and is still operating. So with the news of more products in development and proven track record of the ability to successfully operate a niche business, I have the confidence they will still be around to back up their warranty IF required
