Company Info
Soltaro says all its products are designed and engineered in Australia, but they aren't manufactured here. In 2016, Soltaro opened its own solar battery manufacturing and assembly facility in Wuxi, China.
As well as home batteries, the company also offers EV chargers, air conditioners and heat pump hot water systems. Aside from that, Soltaro doesn't offer much information about the workings or history of the company.
Soltaro Home Batteries
Soltaro's main product range for home energy storage is the AIO2 ESS, available in 5kWh or 10kWh capacities and expandable up to 30kWh. The AIO2 has 5kW charge / discharge capabilities.
This is an all-in-one energy storage system combining the battery pack, inverter and battery management system (BMS). It's Virtual Power Plant ready and also provides seamless switch-over to help keep your home powered during a blackout. It can be DC or AC coupled, and used on or off grid.
The battery chemistry used in the AIO2 ESS is lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4), which is widely regarded as being the safest of common lithium ion battery chemistries. The AIO2 is rated IP65, so is suitable for indoor or outdoor installation.
Further Soltaro details can be located on our very handy comparison table that enables you to compare solar batteries side-by-side..
Warranty Information
Soltaro offers a 10 year or 10,000 charging cycle (whichever comes first) warranty on their home battery systems. Soltaro warrants that the AIO2 will retain at least 85% of its nominal energy capacity for five years after the warranty start date and at least 70% for ten years, or a level of energy throughput (depends on model); again, whichever comes first.

Excellent product
This is a wonderful set and forget asset to our home. Day to day the battery just ticks over. I am surprised how quickly the 10kWh battery fills up even on cloudy days. On the odd occasion I have had to cause to contact Soltaro, I have found them to take customer service seriously. promises of a call back or email have all been fulfilled promptly showing concern to resolve my issue.I highly recommend Soltaro for its Australian ownership and back up support.

Please do not buy Soltaro
Please do not buyWe had it for 12 months and then stopped working now been 4 months and still not fixed. They don't let you know what's going on until you email and wait for a reply. Last email says not sent back as waiting to send with others. This might help them but not us. Lots of money for it and it no help if they still have it. Soltaro, last 4 replies is your system has slipped through, they say staff sick or staff changed so we still waiting.

Soltaro should ALWAYS be avoided IMHO
Absolutely terrible. Nothing but trouble. Had the technician out about three times and most of the batteries replaced sometimes twice (10kw system 1kw batteries). Well we paid for a 10kw system and they only ever put in 9 batteries so the Melbourne company effectively stole from us. Would not return calls. I hope they are out of business. Very dissatisfied. And today, it's not even working (BMS lost). Buyer bewareShow additional information
Crap
I wouldn't bother had trouble with 1 battery, been trying to get it fixed for 10 months still no action. Worst warranty ever use another system. I'm counting my losses and going somewhere else. But I won't let up, I will keep writing bad reviews and seeing my solicitorShow additional information
