Hinen Group, established in 2004, is a publicly listed electronics company. In 2022, the company launched Hinen New Energy, a subsidiary focused on residential energy storage solutions. Hinen's products feature technologies like inverters, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms, and a cloud monitoring platform.
Hinen operates seven production centers across China and Vietnam, with additional offices in Europe, Australia, and Africa. The Australian office is located in North Sydney, New South Wales.
Their Hinen B5000 is a 5kWh low-voltage battery designed for residential energy storage. It is currently their only CEC approved battery. It features a 5-layer battery protection system, including full temperature detection, intelligent Battery Management System (BMS) control with protections against over-temperature, over-current, and over-voltage, built-in short-circuit protection, an internal aerosol fire extinguisher, and a decompression valve. Rated IP65, it is suitable for harsh environments and supports operation in temperatures ranging from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. The battery is scalable from 5kWh to 30kWh and includes energy tracking and remote upgrades via the Hinen app.
