Hinen Home Batteries In Australia

The company offers a number of residential energy storage solutions, including the Hinen B5000, B7700M-H, and A10000s All-in-One system.

Hinen B5000

The Hinen B5000 is a 5kWh low-voltage battery designed for residential energy storage, which is scalable to 30kWh by adding extra units in parallel. It is currently a Clean Energy Council approved battery.

The B5000 features a multiple-layer battery protection system, including full temperature detection, intelligent Battery Management System (BMS) control with protections against over-temperature, over-current, and over-voltage, built-in short-circuit protection, an internal aerosol fire extinguisher, and a decompression valve. It also utilises LFP (LiFePO4) battery chemistry, widely regarded as the safest.

Rated IP65, it supports operation in temperatures ranging from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius.

B7700M-H

Also CEC listed, the BH7700 7.7kWh (7kWh usable) high voltage battery is a stackable solution, with a single stack capable of having up to 3 modules (23.328 kWh rated capacity and 20.995 kWh usable capacity) and up to 6 stacks connected in parallel. It has the same safety feature set as the B5000 and  has a wider operating temperature range of of -20°C to 60°C.

A10000s All-in-One System

This system was not CEC approved as at early November 2024, but it's worth mentioning as it may be soon - Hinen showcased the A10000S at the All-Energy Australia exhibition in October 2024.

This 10kW single-phase hybrid all-in-one residential solution incorporates an inverter, energy storage converter, battery, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The A10000S is a modular unit using 7.776kWh LiFePO4(LFP) modules.

The all-in-one systems features four MPPT channels and its 230V/63A off-grid output power can reach up to 15kW, supporting full household load backup (switchover time less than 10 milliseconds). It has an operating temperature range of of -20°C to 60°C.

Warranty Information

The B5000 , BH7700-H are both covered by a 10-year product warranty. Hinen also warrants that these batteries will maintain at least 80% of their usable capacity for a period of ten years. However, for this to apply, the ambient temperature during operation must not fall below -10°C or exceed 50°C. Furthermore, Hinen says throughput energy per kWh must be less than 3.65 MWh and the SOH (State Of Health) less than 70%.
