Company Info

Pytes Energy was founded under the name of  DLG (Shanghai) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. In 2006 it began offering battery solutions for consumer electronics, and in 2007 its e-bike division was founded. That was followed by establishing a vacuum division in 2014 and the company began making batteries for medical equipment in 2015.

Its energy storage system (ESS) division was founded in 2018 and the company's Shandong, China factory commenced production. Its first battery was the Ebox-48100R, designed for home, small commercial, telco and industrial energy applications.

In 2019, the company renamed to Pytes Energy.

In 2022, Pytes' E-box battery received UL 9540 certification, which provides a basis for energy storage system safety that includes reference to important technology safety standards and codes. In 2024, Pytes Energy launched its high voltage HV48100 battery.

As for Astrum Energy, it is based in Sydney - but past that we can't tell you much as their website (which also happens to be the Pytes' Australian website) is a bit of a mess.

The E-Box 48100R's operating temperature range is discharge: -10 ~ 50°C and charge: 0 ~ 50°C (but see notes below on warranty). It has a nominal voltage of 51.2 V and a voltage range of 47.5 V - 57.6 V. Module dimensions are: L: 440mm x W: 620mm x H: 117mm, and the E-Box 48100R's weight is 51 kg.

Warranty Details

The E-Box 48100R's warranty covers 10 years or 6000 discharge cycles (or 26.1MWh of aggregate throughput) at 90% DoD, whichever comes first. One of the preconditions of the warranty is the ambient temperature during operation must not exceed 45°C - and in some parts of Australia it certainly reaches that.
